Jonathan Douglas
Confirmed by McCarthy that Douglas will be leaving Ipswich in the summer.
Soon followed by Ipswich confirm McCarthy will be leaving in the summer!!

Indeed. I don't think Warburton would want to work for Douglas again.![]()
Ruislip, did you actually mean that post ? I just assumed that everyone knew about the Douglas/Warburton situation.
Warburton and Douglas are far from friends now.

Someone kindly put me right the other day and told me Warburton is the greatest manager we're ever likely to have and the man who spotted, negotiated and signed all the players who've been successful.
If he was still here the forward line would still contain Gray and Hogan and if Matthew wasn't so greedy and hadn't kept trousering the transfer fees who knows who we'd be playing in tbe quarter finals of the Champions league.

Not too popular with Ipswich fans these days, it seems:
Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy says that his "p***ed off players" are annoyed by their fans' treatment of former Ireland international Jonathan Douglas.
The Monaghan man (35) has become a target for unhappy supporters and was roundly booed during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Birmingham.

Maybe another one for the ex-players reunion at Wycombe (if he can get up the hils that surround the area!).

Rumours on Twitter he's heading to the west of the Pennines to play in League One with me watching him every Saturday until I croak.

I'd imagine he'd do a job for a season at league 1 level. Not one for the future though.

Are they still together? I haven't seen her post any Dougie stuff for quite a while...
Almost certainly Jonathan Douglas http://www.echo-news.co.uk/sport/blues/15330780.Blues_in_talks_with_two_midfield_targets/
Possibly McGinn the other one?
as if McGinn will enter talks with a L1 club?

It will have to be somewhere within easy reach of Belfast, as when he was with us he couldn't wait to get back there.
I remember Ipswich fans chanted at Griffin Park that "He left 'cos your s**t, Jonathan Douglas, he left 'cos your s**t.''
They will getting that chanted right back at them next season.
Do you really get that wound up by a generic sh*t football chant?
Bugger JD I want to abuse the piece of sh*t that broke AJ's leg.Wound up? Nah.
The irony of that chant can be thrown back at them now & with the same inaccuracy as when it came our way. Petty maybe, but I find it quite amusing.
Each to their own, hey?

On trial at Luton Town?
Perfect for them, him and Macca will be ideal to manage games and let the youngsters flourish. Sadly I think they'll get up this season.

I gather that Macca has already been suspended for five yellows but may also be injured. Deja vu
Incorrect re suspension. Only 4 yellows. He's currently injured. http://www.lutontoday.co.uk/sport/f...see-a-specialist-over-groin-problem-1-8205319
