Bill if you did not see me yourself then why post this???? I was not in the paddock at 5.15 I was in the bar with two young ladies who had my undivided attention save for a chat with perrybee who can vouch for my whereabouts.

The GPG Mafia who think they are ITK only get their information from people who are either on the inside of the club ie directly employed or and I choose my words here very specifically are allowed daily access to the club and its players and staff. The same inside people who were together in The Griffin detailing at will "what went on with Jonathan Douglas" and how it got to the point that he "was not taking phone calls from.." a very important person.

Now it must have been very embarrassing for you boys with the brown stuff freshly cultivating the genes of the Messiah on the end of your noses, when so many supporters stood to applaud out of respect a former player and captain of the club and I dare say a few words were exchanged privately in Block C but if the best you can muster is to post lies about me then you are not the person I thought you were.

The New Dawn gave those waiting to laugh at statistical modelling their first feed on Saturday for 87minutes and our brilliant squad does not look so brilliant to most fans as is clear from the posts on the GPG but the Civil War that is breaking out amongst fellow fans is far more concerning.

Considering how MB has saved this club , what he has acheived so far and what he will achieve , i find this post ridiculous and offensive in equal measures.

" laugh at statistical Modelling " Yes those damn Germans and Spanish are sh*t at football , we should carry on the same in this country

The sheep applauded and then he went and kicked and slapped Jota, they should be ashamed of themselves.:D There were enough of us seated but throwing up, had I stood up and announced that KB had farted in front of me then people would have joined in, anything for a good clap and to show that you are a good fan. I nearly came looking for you before KO to ask why such a nice bloke is always up for a row on here, we're not best buddies but we've shared some decent chats when you ran the pub, you're a good guy, I can't see why you are so desperate for it to go wrong mate.

Jonathan Douglas

It's all over the GPG, Coventry and Forest has been done, too powerful has been mentioned, slapping Jota today at the end says more than I can say in this post, doesn't it?

NB I like you saw the slap or push but you seem to want to feed the image of JD being disruptive because you have nailed your flag to the mast what you thought of him as a player.
What I also saw from my new seats was the challenge on Jota which was late but not malicious. Jota was angry because he was hurt and JD was a bit dismissive in his original apology but he clearly put his hands up to say no intention meant.

What neither you or me saw however on either occasion was a single team mate of Jota running to his defence to get him away from that mean bully Josh or to take Josh to task in support or defence of their team mate. In fact after he pushed Jota away whilst he was still complaining to the ref at the final whistle all of the Bees players shook hands with that "disruptive individual" whom you seem determined to put into lasting folklore as the villain of the piece.

You know what happens in these situations and I recall Hunty raking Rowlands Achilles on Wally's instructions as one example of how ex players are often dealt with on their return to former clubs but that wasn't the case Saturday and you boys can try to portray it differently if you must but what happened after the slap is more relevant than what happened before.

Not concerning enough for you to worry about cultivating it though it seems.

I did not say I was one but I did say that there are people who are out there who do. Geoff Stelling at 12.01pm on Saturday made his opening speech for this season and was taking the piss out of us for the Kit Man's new job title.

Maybe some truth in that but he won me over in promotion year, I say it again, he won us a point on his own up at Oldham by fighting for the cause, we were wilting and he stood up, he started last season on fire but he ended up hiding towards the end, I knew what happened at Cov and the fallout years ago, I don't boo or applaud old players and certainly not when we're 2 down, playing badly and just totally frustrated, not my scene mate, I'm just glad he's gone, loved the fact that they were pissing all over us until he came on. I couldn't have written a better script.

Jonathan Douglas

The New Dawn gave those waiting to laugh at statistical modelling their first feed on Saturday for 87minutes and our brilliant squad does not look so brilliant to most fans

Would you not agree though that our new squad has recently suffered with injuries to MacEachran and Bjelland, the loss of our first choice right back on the eve of the season and the unsettling of our star striker? I do hope that you were quick to point out to fans that last year's new squad on day 1 scraped a late draw against a worse team than Ipswich and yet went on to achieve great things. Will you join me in two things - one, waiting until after the deadline and all players are fit and two, giving the team time to bed in as was needed last year? I think it's only fair that only then can we draw comparison. Surely you want to see the team do well and not jump to early conclusions?

I'm sure stelling would do anything to have his Hartlepool in our position, doing it the way we are doing

NB we have indeed had plenty of chats and I wish I had the away day miles that you have but you have got me wrong if you think I want it to go wrong, I don't. I just don't blindly see brilliance where there is no proof of such just because MB who I have nothing but admiration and respect for, or his minnions, says it is so.

I actually understand more than most of my friends who are Bees that he is taking players like Williams from lower level of football because there stats stand out from others at that level and measure up to the level we play at so the "gamble" is that these players will excel and then move on for a profit. Great. If they do I will applaud them all as ex players for the club I love. We don't have to know them to idolise them. I love it when ex players come to the bar and talk about the old days and in fifteen years time when I am Bill's age I hope JD and Sam come for a beer in the new stadium and can walk out to an ovation from us Brentford fans just as I do when Jackie Graham or Andy McCulloch or any other ex players come.

As for players still playing but at other clubs I hope if we show them respect that they would do the same should God forbid they were to score against us.

Consider us joined at the hip Les just don't ask me to say the squad is brilliant just yet because I do not believe it is and I hope to see exactly the same three signings you think we need

I see no brilliance in anything other than there is a plan to make us better, so far so good and let's hope the current boys take it on, I'm falling out with too many Bees at the moment and don't quite get why, it seems that if you support the current regime you are a brown nose, I've challenge everything in the past but reached a really happy zone with BFC during promotion season, everything I ever hoped for, good football, well meaning people at the club, winning loads of games on the front foot, we've had a bump last Feb but I still can't see the dark clouds and I have no real idea how we will do this season, there again and game by game, I had no clue last season either. I will add that I would like people to call me a brown nose to my ugly mug, I'll have my say back.

Get a ****ing life.it was a joke I too was in the bar and didn't see you if I had I would have spoken to you.I would have been happy to discuss how Josh was a game changer Saturday and dare say you had a tear in your eye with the applause for him by the way did you clap the cowardly challenge on OUR player Jota?i have to tell your posts sicken me I thought at first you were on a wind up but seems you are serious. We have a bloke who's putting our club on a level we could never imagine and all you and others on here want to do is snipe because you think you are ITK go sign up for Nick Hesters rag he will give you prime spot for his next issue.Maybe that's where you get your ITK stuff anyway I will be at Bristol Saturday I shouldn't be hard to find if you got anything more to say

Pretty confident that I was not referring to you simply because you are a lot bigger than me but also because that's not really how I|see you as a fellow fan. You have a similar relationship with MA that Nick H has with Warbs and through personal admiration you both support your man as I perhaps have done with JD who I barely know by comparison having just spoken to him a dozen times in four years.

It those fans that just have nothing to say except In Matthew we Trust which for some reason gets my goat. I get the idea, I get it is his money, I get it is his now his club but I remember when it was Dave Webb's club and when it was Ron Noades club and I have seem to come to the decision that caution is the best way forward. MB is not a successful businessman for no reason so I can not believe he is willing to pump in millions year in year out for ever and that Brentford is just a toy for him to waste his well earned millions on.

To me MB surely must be looking for a return and two things fuel that, selling players for a profit and our aim of Premiership football, both of which will in different timescales give MB the return that I talk about.
And if he achieves his goal I will be sitting in the stands with my kids and cheering just as every other Bees fan will be. We all have our own opinions but agree or disagree with each other we are all Bees fans.

The brown nose bit was thrown open, I'm hearing from a few mates that people think I've had my wings clipped and a brown nose, don't tell my mates is all I am saying, tell me and we can sort it out without the need for any pushing and shoving. I'm too old and loved up for that sort of malarkey.

Jonathan Douglas

I honestly do not know why clapping a former player that gave his all on the pitch during the most successful period this club has seen for most annoys a few fans.

I think it was the timing of it, when we are 0-2 down, that is the issue and listening on BeesPlayer I was very disappointed by it - during the warm up or when coming off maybe but not when he is coming on with the objective of stopping us getting a result

Whatever he was like and yes I have heard what he was like, it didn't affect the performances on the pitch. We all encounter people that are hard to work with - all about management. The management now seem fit JD should not be with us. He has moved on, the club has but it appears a few fans haven't.

I would NEVER ever call a fellow fan clapping a former player is 'not' a proper fan. Each to their own.

How do we know? Performances dropped off in the second half of the season (his and others') - was this due to goings on behind the scenes?? Had there been more harmony would performances have been better??

How the **** can you compare Webb and noades with Benham. That is a disgusting comment.

Webb and noades nearly put us out of business. Noades more so.

Webb dismantled our squad purposely for own gain financially.

Noades used us as a play thing, made a lot of promises, such as don't worry it's not the clubs money I am spending, when he left the club picked up the tab.

Questions were raised by fans on them to as soon as it was seen what was they were doing.

Benham saved us from that and has propelled us forward which has no signs of stopping yet. Look at what Benham has done for us on the pitch and away from it.

There is absolutely nothing about Benham or how he has conducted things that suggest he's anything like them. The complete opposite infact.

Its bonkers mate , MB is a die hard Bee who has put 100 MILLION in and more to come.

How anyone can doubt anything he does is just odd.

Glad you understand more than most about the way the club is driven, your words not mine, so I fail to understand some of the barbs in your posts which seem unnecessary

We can all comment on what we see in the pitch and often will all disagree but generally you seem to want to incorporate little digs at what is going on and I genuinely fail to understand why or if you have a different agenda to most of us

Jonathan Douglas

I can't see why you [Royal oak Bee] are so desperate for it to go wrong mate.
Now that's irony.

I recall when Rosler fell out of favour with some fans on here, they took great exception when some Rosler supporters accused them of wanting him to fail (i.e. to validate their criticism of him).

Of course, those Rosler critics were entirely correct to reject that charge, but now the boot is on the other foot, it seems they* are using it to kick out at others on exactly the same grounds.

P.S. I don't particularly agree with 'Royal Oak Bee' on this topic (or many others!), but I do respect him for sticking to his opinions, even when they incur the wrath of that self-appointed clique of posters who seem to imagine they embody "The Spirit of GPG" (and Brentford FC generally).

* - I say "they"; maybe I should say "at least one"....

Herbert, I am sorry that you have read my post as comparing Matthew to those two c*nts because that is not the case and I have previously said I have great admiration and resepect for MB and where he has taken our club. I guess I am saying that if we got to the Premiership that 100Million Investment would soon be re-paid and in our own stadium on our own land my guess is Matthew might have a few Russians, Yanks and Arabs beating a path to his door so caution because everybody has his price and as with players if that is met then a deal is done. Who knows where we will be in 2020?

I made an exception and read this one, it was very boring but I got through it, Uwe was a nice bloke, I went to 99% of his games and jumped about like a loon when we scored, fell flat as a pancake when we conceded and drew games when it seemed we brought it upon ourselves, I never wanted Uwe to fail, I just said he would, so far he has and I'd like to wish him well at Leeds but I can't. Warbs replaced Uwe and showed up all of Uwe's failings, I liked Warbs and thank him for what he did as I thank Uwe for taking us forward but wish we'd got rid of him sooner so that the winning football I/we craved had also come along sooner, I hope that helps. I won't bother with you again, your last insult sticks in my throat.

I very much doubt you can make much money out of a club like ours unless you try to destroy it, as two people you mentioned tried to do. MB is trying to make Brentford self sufficient, producing players from the academy, buying players like Gray and Moses and selling at a profit. He does not have a bottomless pit of money but I do not believe he is looking for much if any return on his investment. If he is, he deserves it, he will only achieve this by getting us into the Premier League which would have been impossible without his investment. Webb and Noades are responsible for some of the darkest days in our club, your hinting that Benham may turn out to be the same as them with your wait and see approach which is disgraceful with what he has achieved so far. I'm in the Matthew we Trust Club, I was disappointed to see the departures last week, but I'm confident we'll have better coming in. Why people have to constantly question every decision when they have little idea what has happened or what it's like running a football club is beyond me.

I have an idea! Why don't the four (Bill, Nick, NB and me) of us do a Sunday Morning Papers type of thing where we all share our different thoughts on all things Brentford over a coffee and croissant and two hours later come to the conclusion we all support the same club and we are all nice blokes who just see different players, events, people in slightly different ways to each other.

Scarfer, you have said more than "In Matthew we trust" and that is good enough for me! Its your opinion and you are entitled to it. I mean the ones who JUST say In Matthew we Trust Full Stop

I hate coffee, I really do plus I'm busy that day, maybe next time.;)

But the full stop is relevant isn't it. Effectively like it or not MB is our one and only hope or success. He owns the club. Its his way or no way. The alternative is a headlong fall into oblivion.
The arguments over the way the club is being run are frankly a waste of time. The very worst thing that could happen is for Benham to walk away.I don't see it happening but nothings certain in this world.
All I know is that if I had sunk that amount of money, time and effort into a project I would be getting pretty bloody sick of the ingratitude of arseholes chanting Warburton and applauding a disruptive **** like Douglas. Please don't tell me it was just acknowledging his contribution, for some it was but we were 2 down and a good many so called supporters were doing it to make a point.

Maybe the ones who just say that don't feel they have to justify it, it should be clear for everyone why they have faith in him

Nice One Bill - I'll remember that....

That's ok,what's it got to do with your dad?.I find most of the stuff you post on twitter very anti Benham and still don't know why.You state you are only expressing your opinion,by posting there is unrest in the camp is that an opinion or a diliberate attempt to stir it up.Where does that come from?.l thought you disliked the ITKs around the club does that mean your an ITK.I know your a great champion of free speech and opinion but there again you block me from your Twitter account lol.I must be missing something here because you have put up with nearly as much crap as me over the years so don't see why your so negative. What is there not to like?.

Don't have to meet up to reach that conclusion.mate.

It wasn't clapping, it was a standing ovation with some much man love attached that I am wondering why we all bother, had I seen that from a home crowd at 2-0 down, I would have added it to my portfolio of home crowds are sad collection, sadly the joke was on us.
Scunny away under Uwe, 200 max Bees there, one up and the home crowd are septic, they want the manager gone, the board out and the players shot, we sub a sh*t Paul Hayes and they stand to applaud their former hero, most that were there were laughing at this mad moment. They got a draw somehow too, pure comedy .

I was at Scunny that day and I clapped Dougie when he came on. What a shame you thought you were with 200 'proper fans' that day.

**** me this is boring. Can we concentrate our efforts on more productive threads please?

Well said, sir.

I haven't asked the 'Proper Supporter Police' if it's okay to post this picture, so you may never hear from me again...

A no win this - clearly there was a huge falling out and because of his position as a senior member of the squad, I can see why JD was told to leave but he is still a very good player and, from a quick look at the BBC Sports page, it looks like he is now a regular fixture in their team. In his first home game, he was booked after 4 mins for a bad tackle (shades, sadly, of the Jota situation) but was subbed on 87 mins for no reason unless Mick McCarthy wanted him to get a good reception from the locals.

It was good under the circumstances that the club let him go on a free but the whole situation is very sad. Ipswich's gain is our loss, but, from what we have been told, there was no other way.

To mention MB in the same sentence as Noades is an insult to the work and legacy that MB is putting into this club. One man tried to destroy BFC, the other saved it from that mess.............

I too hope he achieves his goal and im pretty certain it will happen sooner rather then later. What is there to be cautious about?? He is building us a new stadium (hopefully), he has taken our academy from the gutter to a very high standard, and you only have to pop down the training ground to see the vast improvment that has taken place down there. Oh yeah and we arent doing too bad on the pitch either.

Just to say, another aspect of Matthew Benham's involvement (and how he might see making a few bob) is the housing development around Lionel Road. That, plus the sale of GP, will pay for the new stadium but there must be a decent profit too (and now't wrong with that)

Which has to do with JD, suspiciously!
