Klaxons

An inspired idea and really added to the atmosphere but God I had a headache by the end.

Klaxons

You can see why games in other countries can seem more 'atmospheric' Too tired to shout or sing? Blow an air horn! But it was quite good

Klaxons

I must be getting an old git. I hated them....OK at first, but they stopped any atmosphere/singing before the game as no one could hear each other speak.

Then when the player presentations were made we couldnt hear who was coming up and didnt have the chance to show our appreciation, all drowned out by that dreadful noise

Never again at GP please:nono:

Klaxons

Got on my nerves in the end i could not hear the music.....before the match

Klaxons

Didn't enjoy them...and I purposefully make horrible noise with my band! 3 kids sat right behind me & being all small, they were at the perfect height to offer me 'stereo' deafening!

Klaxons

Completely agree with those previous posters. They spoilt the day . I couldn't hear any announcements and my ears and that of my 8 and 10 year old sons and 89 year old father are still ringing. They should not be encouraged.

Klaxons

I thought there were great :)

whoever supplied them is a genius ;)

Klaxons

I'm a fence sitter on this one.

I think they added to the atmosphere of the day, but having said that they drowned out any announcements at the presentation.

Klaxons

I'm not a fan of any of there gimmicky attempts to create more atmosphere. It's a slippery slope that ends with a drum :(

Klaxons

Once every ten years suits me fine.

Klaxons

Can someone let the rest of us know what the pre-match and half-time announcements were? Thanks a lot!

Klaxons

Let me put it this way...

If I wanted to listen to such noise for 2 hours I would happily sit in my car with my head on the horn...

Funnily enough I do not partake in this activity and don't want to pay to watch my team collect what is rightfully theirs with this noise going on...

Rant over :)

Klaxons

The three kids behind me saw that I was putting my finger in my ear to ease the pain of the noise...so they giggled and aimed straight at me!

:imwith:

****ing vile things, never again darken our beautiful ground with your screeches.

Klaxons

I thought they sounded great. I was told it was a mistake to bring two home for the kids but they drown the wife out nicely.

Can I suggest the club hand out hearing aids free of charge next year, as our hearing has been ruined, my ears are still buzzing this morning, but a great day out no less!

Klaxons

Horrible things, made me feel like I was at the Millennium Stadium watching Wales lose to Poland in a half-full stadium mainly consisting of kids in those annoying jester hats.

Klaxons

Hated the blasted things but yesterday was quiet compared to watching a game in Kiev with a crowd of 70,000+ and most of them blowing the bloody things

Klaxons

Actually, as an old git in the Bill Axbey, I thought they added to the atmosphere... for about 10 minutes

Klaxons

The airhorns reminded me of being at that craphole Millennium Stadium for our finals and the horrible memories..... never again!!!

Klaxons

I'm not sure whats worse. The klaxons or the silly clappy things the Reading fans have today

Klaxons

.............................annoying..........................no thanks......................

Klaxons

not sure if local residents mightn't kick up a fuss if they were regular...some speedway tracks often only get planning permission to run if they agree to NO air horns..cos they're louder than the 500cc machines..

Klaxons

It would be interesting to hear the players views. The louder the support the better surely. I'm in favour of Drums, Trumpets the lot as long as there supporting the Bees. Silence at home games is for loosers.

Klaxons

Fecking awful things that should never be allowed to a Brentford game home or away again.

Klaxons

Hmmm, some good , some bad :grey:

What about the firework thingy's before and after - did they offend anyone ? Don't think Wolves bothered but we did ! :bound: :stillakidsmilie:

Klaxons

To have 8 - 9 000 Bees fans singing as one makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and brings a tear or two to the eye.

To have that drowned out by 50 ten year olds blowing stupid klaxons spoils the effect.

I agree. As soon as I saw them being handed out pre match, I feared the worst. We don't need 'banger stix' and horns, we need people to be singing their hearts out. Ealing Road did a great job yesterday, as did the Paddock at times. Typically the New Road remained seated during our chants aimed at them of "stand up for the champions"

But that's beside the point. The horns remind me of an England Ladies or U21 game that is full of 10 year olds blowing them horrible things. Never want to see these gimmicky things back at Griffin Park, otherwise we'll end up like Fulham or Wycombe.

Same goes for them ''sticks'' from the previous home game. Hopefully we never experiment with whatever vile objects Fulham fans are given, that they smack together when they score...

Klaxons

Baseball bats vs Fulham would be appreciated if the club wants to hand them out

probably.

too loud/quiet/premiership/chav/american/what's the point of fireworks in the daytime/etc etc.

Klaxons

Bye 'eck those klaxons were annoying. Sat up in Braemer E-block, it was like a morgue apart from some chubby faced kid deafening me with one of the damn things. Despite a suitable 'be a responsible parent' chant a few of us got going, no action was taken! Def felt it stopped getting any singing going up there; noisy and no rhythm...
klaxons out!
Oh, and whilst we were at it, those two old blokes who spend their entire life moaning - SHUT UP! We have bloody won the league and you are complaining about some scrappy technique?!??!! SHUT UP!

Klaxons

Dont Wolves have a bad track record with fireworks! :(

Klaxons

What a sad sad lot some people are....

On the morning after being handed the championship trophy people still have to have a moan???

I thought the Klaxons and fireworks actually showed a bit of initiative for a change, I liked them (especially the fireworks) and it added to the whole occasion...

Mr Heath is having to apologise for trying to create a celebratory atmosphere? those who complained need to get out more....

The fireworks were fine.

You obviously didn't have two 10 years old next to you blowing their klaxons for 90 minutes.

I agree with the regard to the klaxons and fireworks in particular, they were great!
having to apologise for creating a celebratory atmosphere is ludicrous.

Quite agree, I feel sorry for DH having to explain his actions to a bunch of miserable gits. Who could blame him if he thought "Bugger this, Im off!"
