......For starters, let's kick off with one that must surely be a prize winner if there's ever a competition for the funniest remark by a manager so far this season. It was Leroy once more - and I wonder if he realised what he'd said when he made his comment about Adam Griffiths breaking his nose on Tuesday?

"He'll be SORELY missed," he said.

I don't get it. Or is it just not funny?

Larry Signy

Due to the "hit and miss" nature of posting on Beesotted it is the least visited of the 3 supporters sites. Thus knowing that all 4 candidates regularly post on the GPG did you not post your editorial here.At least it would have prevoked a debate unlike the absolute dearth of comments on Beesotted. It tends to give the continuing impression that you are just a self seeking publicist who likes to see his name in print.

On Beesotted because I was asked to provide some articles.

In any case, most of the pieces there are "pinched" and reprinted here.

Yeh, funniest thing I've heard in ages.

Any chance of answering some questions raised?

So you do 2 articles on Beesotted about the 4 BU election candidates prompting for answers to certain things they had never actually said to questions you had not actually ever asked them. Great journalism.

Larry Signy

Did you ask your question in the Bees United organised electronic hustings?

Can you distill your "question" into an actual question rather than a raambling self-contradicting article?

Larry - answer my questions :bound: :bound: :bound: :bound:

Larry Signy

What was Beesotted's opinion of the fact that most of them you wrote as a "wind up". You've said they were mostly to wind people up, do you think that was what Beesotted wanted?

[PS: an adult would admit he got things wrong and try to repair the damage. We wait in futile hope]

Here, I'll help - He asked if the candidates in the Bees United election for three new board members had any concrete proposals to put forward if they were elected.

He should have bothered reading the answers that the candidates gave to Bees United then. Bet he didn't bother asking any questions via that mechanism either...

Larry Signy

Is Wee Bee Larry's son....or mum? Only a mum could love her son......STOP!!!!!!!!! :fishing:

With the greatest respect IsleofWight_Bee, I was brought up to respect my elders :D and majority of posters on this thread seem to be lacking manners and common decency! You should be ashamed of yourselves :nono:

No, he chose to ask them on beesotted! Is this a reason not to answer?

Larry Signy

and you couldn't email him because?

because candidates posted answers elsewhere and if he had been bothered to read them he would have found "concrete proposals" in all their answers. He just couldn't be bothered.

As you're answering questinos on his behalf can you polish off the other questions people have asked him too please.

p.s. How do you know I didn't email him :suspect: or called him at his home to tell him my answers

Larry Signy

That's a lie, Larry. If you want to retract it, then I won't call you a liar, but equally, I won't hold my breath waiting.

I agree it's a lie and not the first one for his on here - the last was a few weeks ago during the election. He will read these posts and won't apologise and simply ignore that he's posted something that isn't true and has been corrected. Further, you won't get an apology until you telephone him at home and point it out to him. Then he will claim that he hasn't logged on all afternoon and not seen the corrections to his libel.

Signy's behaviour in this department is well documented.

I'm sorry to "slag off another Brentford fan" but enough's enough with this liar.

Larry Signy

Asked or volunteered?
I seem to remember that you had no trouble putting your infamous "Gods Chosen" article on this site,or have you now learnt your lesson?

Larry Signy

Tell you what: You find his lie and shove it in his face. Search button's up there to the right.

Otherwise, believe our moderators on this one.

Proove it!

Larry Signy

It is a lie plain and simple. He says that most Beesotted stories are copied onto the GPG. I can't think of a single one, it simply isn't true and larrysigny is lying. Your spelling is as bad as his, btw.

Sorry to resurrect this topic - but it's not quite what I said. What I DID claimwas that at least one of the Beesotted articles on the candidates not giving us new information in the run up to the BU board election had been copied here.

If you now deny that banana reprinted the article from September 7th (I can't rememember if he copied the second piece) - or that if he did, he had the permission of the writer (me) or the publisher (Dave Lane) then of course I will certainly apologise.

If, however, the piece(s) was/were reprinted on GPG without the permissions - then can YOU please withdraw your comments?

You can read what you actually wrote, Larry, and it's not what you said. You said most articles on Beesotted are copied onto the GPG. That's a lie and you're a liar.

Having read this again, I agree it was clumsily worded - but as I was talking about just two articles taken from Beesotted it should have been fairly obvious they were the pieces I meant.

I'm sorry for the confusion.

However - it still doesn't cover the rest of my query. As a reminder, I said:

"If you now deny that banana reprinted the article from September 7th (I can't rememember if he copied the second piece) - or that if he did, he had the permission of the writer (me) or the publisher (Dave Lane) then of course I will certainly apologise.

DO you have any comment?

Larry Signy

I'm not withdrawing anything, Larry Liar. I gave you the chance to withdraw and you didn't. You didn't "word it clumsily" as you now claim - you made an assertion that most articles on Beesotted are copied and posted here. That's a lie and you're a liar.

OK - I withdraw the statement that "most articles on Beesotted are copied and posted here" as they obviously are not.

But at least one was -possibly two. Is that a fact or not?

Larry Signy

Are either of you aware of the "Private Messaging" facility available here?

Larry Signy

Larry withdraws his libellous allegations again.................... :zzzzz:

Still at least we didn't have to waste the price of a phone call this time :bound:

Larry Signy

Yes - but I'm a bit wary of it since a private message I one sent to banana appeared under someone else's name - by magic as everyone denied it had been passed over.

Once again you are referring to me. I have repeatedly told you that this did not happen but you have the search engine available so will you please reference the post to which you refer and direct all of us to where a private message from you to Banana appeared under "someone else's name"......(he means me by the way).

It did not happen although for the purposes of this thread it probably well suits you to raise it again.

However you can now give me the lie by finding the post to back up your statement.

Larry Signy

Strangely Larry has still not answered the questions originally asked of him.

From the code of conduct:

4. Personal abuse of other Griffin Park Grapevine members is not permitted. If you disagree with what someone else says, say so and use whatever arguments you like to support your views. However personal attacks only suggest that you cannot support your views in any other way and are not allowed. If you are attacked by someone, use the 'report to moderator' function and the post will be looked at by the Mods. Do not revenge like with like.

Edmundo, you may consider your post a statement of fact and not a personal attack, I am not going to argue with it :D however, as a moderator are you not governed by the code of conduct or do you run the GPG on the basis of, don't do as I do, do as I say?

Larry Signy

I think you're wrong about this JBN (and not just because I'm on Ed's side generally in this thread :D )

What Ed states, in bold terms admittedly, is that a statement made earlier is factually incorrect and that the author knows it. This seems an aggressive but reasonable rebuttal to an earlier statement.

If the first author (Mr Signy) wants to refute it he can do it by referencing counter arguments, and demanding a withdrawl of the statement. While the language is strident, Ed's message is a challenge as much as anything and seems the very heart of an open forum.

I'm not going to argue with Ed over the content of the thread, Mr Signey looks to have painted himself into a corner.

I have an issue with the wording of some of the posts, particularly Eds. A certain section of it would appear to me, to be a personal attack, although it could be argued as a statement of fact, it still seems to me to be a personal attack.

Larry has done himself no favours on the GPG and the best thing for him to do, is to ride of into the sunset and never clap on eyes on it or comment on it again.

Alternately he could play by the rules everyone else plays by (don't intentionally dissemble, apologise for errors, acknowledge that others might know more/better, respond to questions with adult answers, etc). He's welcome by me if he learns these 'skills'.

I've called him a liar because he's telling lies. In the same way that if he had large grey ears and a long trunk, I'd call him an elephant. No-one has reported it as abusive using the facility provided. And I even gave him the chance to withdraw his lie. I don't think it's abusive, it's a simple statement of fact.

And I haven't complained.

But you'll notice that I have apologised AND withdrawn what I still maintain was an error not a deliberate attempt to mislead. I'm not quite certain what the difference is - but I did both in response to your request.

However, it still doesn't alter the fact that at least one of the two articles appeared on GPG - and as far as I know, without permission....certainly not mine as writer.

And abee - you haven't been mentioned. Why get yourself involved - you haven't been accused of anything.
