Think you can get there any time - if the turnstiles are closed a steward should let you in. Be careful you don't get a yellow card though, maybe take a picture.. Latest for me was half time when I got a puncture on the m3.Does anyone know the latest time you can enter the ground? Do they close the turnstiles at a certain point?
Cheers
Thanks, i might be looking at ht on Sunday. Good point about the yellow card, ill take a selfie!Think you can get there any time - if the turnstiles are closed a steward should let you in. Perfect, thanksThere's a gate in the corner of West and North that they should let you in - well, that's what happened with me.
Ohhhhh i thought this was going to be another great thread discussing the latest you've even entered a ground at.
Must be some top TW8 stories.

You could've just gone to the ticket office and get a reprint.I left my wallet with season ticket in it at work and had to rush to get it before an Everton home game at the Gtech, in either '22 or '23.
Got to the ground five minutes before the second half started and had to bang on the shutters for someone to open up.
A very nice security lady told me technically she couldn't let me in, but she must have taken pity on me and very kindly let me in 'just this once'.
So long story longer, they shut the shutters at half time.
I must have been with you as I remember this happening to me and my mate. When we played Tranmere away once, my group arrived very late as there was total carnage on the M1, proper gridlock with people walking around the motorway etc.
It was actually half time when we rocked up to the away turnstiles, closed. Went around to the main office entrance and they charged us half price, took us though the main stand, along a corridor where we past open door to the Bees changing rooms(!), out through the players half way line tunnel(!!) and alongside the pitch down to the away end!
I liked being late that day ?
Half time at Bolton once.
An hour into the game at Gillingham.
Pub related nonsense.
100’s of Cardiff bunked in that dayDont think I've ever missed a kick off. THAT Cardiff home game was probably the closest, got on to the terrace moments before kick off only to realise we'd walked in to the ad hoc Cardiff section that some f***ing idiot at BFC had set up![]()

That is classic league one. And I love it.When we played Tranmere away once, my group arrived very late as there was total carnage on the M1, proper gridlock with people walking around the motorway etc.

If anyone can beat that for late arrival I'd be impressed. There was a game at GP (can't remember the opposition) when we were in League 2 which I wasn't planning to attend as I had to be somewhere else. I got a train back to Brentford which arrived at around 1640 so thought I might as well go to the ground to catch the final score. The gates were open to let people out so I went in with about three minutes to go, and caught the only goal.of the game, scored by Glenn Poole.
That'll be the one. A Glenn Poole header was a rare event! If anyone can beat that for late arrival I'd be impressed.
A quick skim of our league two results....was it this one?

I think I looked this game up once before... I believe that was our lowest home Saturday league crowd between 2001 and now (many lower, but in midweek or in cups...maybe a topic for another thread).
Not surprising with people sneaking in for free![]()
Well it looks like the attendance of 3,863 should now be 3,864.If anyone can beat that for late arrival I'd be impressed.

I really hope you were waving to the crowd all the way to the away end. When we played Tranmere away once, my group arrived very late as there was total carnage on the M1, proper gridlock with people walking around the motorway etc.

Not quite the eloquence of Fleet John. And .......
Rotherham away 83/84 lost 4-0.
For some reason my first pint went straight to my head.
By the 7th pint i was all over the shop and left for the ground.
Straight in the home end, down the front, over tbe barrier, they scored, into the main stand,up in the seats, out like a light.
Woke up at half time and went for a pee.
Me fly broke, back in the seats, back to sleep for half hour and see the last 10 minutes.
Felt as rough as fk.
Does anyone know the latest time you can enter the ground? Do they close the turnstiles at a certain point?

Fortunately they had installed an impregnable gaffertape/clueless steward barrier & disaster was averted.Dont think I've ever missed a kick off. Only time i ever did the 4 pubs in one goTook a friend to a game at gp possibly uwe rosler time. Did the 4 pubs round gp starting about 11am in the griffin. Do remember standing on the ealing road terrace sometime after half time but all the rest is hazy. So definitely late but no idea of the details.
I envy FJs eloquence. Not quite the eloquence of Fleet John.
I think we did, but as it was half time our entry was kinda subdued as far as I recall ?I really hope you were waving to the crowd all the way to the away end.
The milk cup game? Drove upI'm guessing there are loads on here who didn't get into Forest on time after that god awful train special?
Did you get a yellow card-just asking? There was a game at GP (can't remember the opposition) when we were in League 2 which I wasn't planning to attend as I had to be somewhere else. FYI, i managed to get in by 1430. The only open turnstile in the West Stand is 'P' and ALL turnstiles close and no entry on the half-time whistle.
Someone said they had emailed the club re this earlier in the season and they confirmed no entry after the half time whistle. That seems a bit weird.
I don't see the issue with it (considering you've paid for a ticket).Someone said they had emailed the club re this earlier in the season and they confirmed no entry after the half time whistle.
I used to pay a fiver to let me out at half time.when I was 12/13 years old used to go in at griffin park at half time for a fiver
True. I could imagine it may have something to do with the concourse filling up and the turnstiles not exactly being secureI don't see the issue with it (considering you've paid for a ticket).
