Lewis said the choices of tyres today were his decisions.Im not sure about that with so much technology involved.It was a big gamble but if the rain had of held off it would of been a different sorry,maybe.Hes only two points ahead,I posted the other week I think hes been lucky up until now,now the bigger boys are coming out to play now their toys have been fixed.Still a very good first season though what ever happens

Mclaren have had to be seen to providing more assistance to their double world champion while he catches young Lewis up.

Normal Mclaren biased service to the new kid on the block will be resumed as soon as possible.

Loved it when the safety car was sat on corner one and all of a sudden the driver put his foot down and flew round the corner just as one of the F1 cars came hurtling along backwards where the safety car had been sat a couple of seconds earlier

Introduction of random sprinklers around the track would spice it up a bit.

They could come on at any time before/during the race, have various degrees of spray and last for an unknown amount of time or they may not be used at all.

Did anyone see qualifying? Alonso prevented Hamilton getting out in time for his final qualifying lap and has cost himself 5 places on the grid and McClaren from scoring any points tomorrow. I don't think he'll be there next season somehow.

Yes, absolutely blatant hold up of Hamilton by Alonso.Hamilton was waiting behind him in the pits before the final flying lap. The Lollipop man had released Alonso, the team were telling him to go and he sat waiting a few seconds before he went all the time looking in his wing mirrors, delaying it enough to prevent Hamilton doing his final flying lap and Hamilton had the provisional pole upto that final flying lap when Alonso overtook him by getting his in and Hamilton not getting a chance. Ron Dennis was absolutely furious, threw them to the ground, marched over to Alonso's trainer, ripped off his earphones and took him by the scruff of the neck into the pit garage ....ooooh scarey times

Alonso has come in as the big cheese, expecting to be number 1 and had his doors blown away by the rookie, who is there to learn the ropes and has ended up teaching the old dog a few lessons.

Well yes, Alonso did pretty much what Hamilton had done to him.

Dennis actually blamed Hamilton for not pulling over on a previous lap and therby getting everything out of time..seconds are crucial in F1.....so there is clearly more to the story. I have to say Hamilton's answer on that one was a tad arrogant.

Hamilton could be the new Schumacher, a brilliant driver but probably totally ruthless and arrogant and one who could end up being as disliked as much if he doesn't watch it.

I'd bet on Alonso staying and Hamilton going to Ferrari next year.

They both are. Alonso deliberately delayed him in retaliation which was a bit stupid as disobeying team orders is not only within the rules but apparently positively encouraged by the FIA.

Ah...missed qualifying and just saw the pit lane incident on the highlights coverage.

Looks like one will leave, probably the one who doesn't win the championship, McLaren's are surely preferable team to Ferrari, except for the fact you don't the benefit of no.2 driver.

I think the team must surely take a large proportion of the blame to have created a situation where both drivers think the other is being favoured - to the extent that they both play the kind of tricks they pulled this weekend.

Or maybe both drivers are just spoiled little brats at the end of the day....
