Leyton Orient

I never believed they would keep up their early form.
The slide has started and we're kicking their heels.
Weeks ago, I predicted that we would leapfrog them on Boxing Day,
this looks likely to happen.
Orient fans still think they're the bigger club but only 4,800 turned up for their
pre Christmas game even though they are top of the pile.
Wolves v Orient on the 29th, can't see them matching our 2,000 at Molineaux.

Do you think they'll be mixing with the top 6 at the end of the season ?

Leyton Orient

I think every team is likely to have a bad patch and maybe they are having it at the moment?
I believe as long asd they keep key players fit they will be in the Play Off mix.
Dont think they will make top two.

Leyton Orient

I think they will get a play off place, unless they are very unlucky with injuries. A lot will depend on if they get a few quid to spend in January. I think we would be foolish to write them or anyone else off too quickly.

Leyton Orient

Wolves have been slipping equally fast. I wouldn't be surprised if Orient won at Molyneux. You write them off at your peril.

Leyton Orient

don't write them off, we've done well to catch them but we will slip a little sooner or later..

Leyton Orient

It may depend on how much Hearn allows Slade to spend in January. Their first XI is a rather decent side but a few injuries and suspensions (which are very common over the festive period) have and will expose them. I still think it is very difficult to suggest that any of the top 5 should fade. They have all in some guise laid down a marker

Leyton Orient

Last year Tranmere did slip though after going 7 points clear of us in January....but then Yeovil didn't slip and went on too....I'll just finish this sentence here.

It's fairly up in the air if Orient will slip or not, if I'm being honest I doubt they will get top two. And even those that believe they won't slip, do many people believe they will get automatic? I don't think there would be many.

They are 11 points above 7th at the moment, they'd have to do something quite wrong to not get the top 6, I reckon they will slip, but will still get to the play offs.

Leyton Orient

We need to keep up our current form and see who joins US in the top2. In a way I hope it is them but think they're more likely to finish between 3rd and 6th. I still think Wolves will join us in the auto places.

Leyton Orient

I certainly think this year's Orient are better than last year's Tranmere.

Leyton Orient

I think the lack of strength in squad will cost them. Since Mooney has been suspended their form has nosedived. They are not ready for the Championship either both on or off the pitch.

Tranmere fell away in late January last season , let's hope Orient do the same.

Leyton Orient

You read their forums and you can sense their nervousness. Personally, I think they will sustain their form enough to stay as contenders but I think that they will probably end up with a play off place. I've got to say though that I've been impressed with what they've done this season so I have a bit of admiration for them and hope they don't fall away - obviously I want them to finish below us though. I hope they get a good draw against Wolves.

That all depends if we keep our top players. If we let the likes of Forshaw go , then we will struggle to make playoffs.

Yes. Top 6 still likely.

Bees, Wolves & P'boro nailed on Top 3 (no idea what order, just hope we are top 2!)

Preston will be up there I would think. Maybe Rotherham. Don't discount MK too.

Leyton Orient

we'd have to have a monumental poor run not to make the play offs.I expect orient to be there or there abouts in May and a top two of us and them wd make me happy

Leyton Orient

I don't think they will...he has a small squad and a small cock.. always moaning about it is James..

Leyton Orient

Why worry about them or anyone ? With over half a season to go we need only worry about ourselves. We need a slice of luck and to be injury free [ Harris is a blow].

Leyton Orient

Just compare the quality of their goals compared to ours last Saturday if you have the chance to. Therein lies the difference.

A nice dull 0-0 will be sound

Leyton Orient

I would love Orient to go up, as long as we go up with them.

Leyton Orient

They really don't have plan B.

Cox, Odubajo, Lisbie, Batt, Mooney, Clarke, Cuthbert have all been excellent but any of those getting injure which is inevitable could really send them sliding.

Slade's post match comments on the weekend also didn't seem to confident, I think he believes they will drop too.

Leyton Orient

I've been keeping tabs on Orient's message board, it does amuse me to read about their fans bitterness and obvious jealously towards us regarding Lionel road, our resources and recent form. They where lording it over the 14 point gap but have been a lot quieter recently! I would love to see them fall away completely but sadly I think they will make the play offs.

I disagree. I have some empathy as they are a comparable small London club with a hardcore loyal fan base fighting to survive when surrounded by bigger premiersh*t neighbours. I hope they get promoted with us at the expense of e.g. Wolves and provide another cracking pair of local Championship derbies next season to add to the already long potential list.

Disagree, although their goals were scrappy this weekend, overall they – and particularly Mooney – have scored some cracking goals this season.

Leyton Orient

January will be important to them. Will Wolves go for Dean Cox, the young winger will no doubt be attracting interest, would Posh fancy Mooney......

"young"?

:imwith:

That way we'd know we'd finish at least 23rd in the Championship:sorted:

I have no empathy with those scumbags as they have no empathy with us and therefore wish them the very worst of luck in 2014 and beyond.

That forum is hilarious, the way they have live updates of the planning meeting on the 5th and then claim how only 500 turn up show how we don't need a new ground is rather pathetic.

Can't wait until we take over Brisbane Road in March!

Apparently Lionel Road is a £95m gift from the council...
Noticed how they've also stopped with the 'how many points behind them we are'...
Oh the joys of being able to sing we are top the league on Thursday...

Leyton Orient

dont think our friends from the far east will be in contention for automatic come april........posh however will, like us, they are a very good side.......and for all you speculators on here, they are at 66/1 with a +5 in the betvictor league one handicap.........we are 33/1 with a + 5 handicap.......interesting odds.

Leyton Orient

As long as we avoid the play-offs, I don't really care what Leyton Orient do.
My dream is we go up and Palace, Fulham and Hammers all are relegated from the Premiership and QPR miss out on promotion. Harry Redknapp explaining that one would be priceless.

what you hope for is in my wish list to santa......it would be a dream come true if it happens......a season never to be forgotten.

I've always felt they would fall away. IMO they might not even make the top 6. Their squad is too small and their game based on high intensity. It takes its toll and we have half a season to go. We shall see.

Leyton Orient

we will finish above em.....well above em too ;)

play offs at best for the very unmighty o's......hopefully they'll lose to preston in the final........17/16 on pens lol

Leyton Orient

I can't be too harsh on them, 'cos Bob Mills is a fan and he's a good bloke.

Leyton Orient

I don't give a monkey's chuff about what Orient or any other side in this division do for that matter.
As long as we continue as we have done over the last 10 League games they can all kiss my humungous fat backside goodbye!
Merry Christmas everyone! xxx

Leyton Orient

Everything about Orient is dull, especially their supporters. All they ever do is go on how great they are. Now the large point gap has closed they have vanished again. They remind me of fulham supporters

Leyton Orient

Leyton orients dislike for us goes back to early/mid 1990's when Kenny (whats his name)? got sent off against us. They have not played their "local rivals" West Ham and Spurs for decades. I think they may sell a few players in January and find it hard to keep up with us, wolves and peterborough.

Leyton Orient

I read about 10 posts and gave up. strange folk.
