Heard an extract from an interview with him in which he emphasised the need to get Brighton away from the relegation zone, and so perhaps the FA Cup won't be a priority.

I'd have job problem with him to be fair.

But we have a mid-winter break now. One thing Lee Johnson has shown is an ability to turn things round.

The recent poor run actually stemmed from a desire to improve a team that looked close to the play-offs, but not quite good enough. It didn't quite work. But he could see what needed changing.

Had our game at Barnsley gone ahead the other night a win would have put us seventh. That's genuine nosebleed territory for Latics fans.

He was also given an obscenely long contract last year so it will take several more defeats on the bounce to persuade the owner to pay him off.

Hughton, McCarthy, Warnock all capable Championship managers who maybe can't cut it at the Premiership level.
Chris Hughton will be fine at Brigthon, which is bad news for Millwall's relegation fight.

Now, the question is: Tim Sherwood is clearly looking for a manager's job, so where does he likely end up? Fulham maybe in a couple of months time if their fortunes don't improve?

Millwall too small for him. Guarantee it. Fulham makes sense. He's looking for a Premiership side or one he thinks he can get back into the Premiership, would generally reckon to be a club with 20K+ gates and some dosh.

Was the same when he was at Wigan. They were nearly always fighting a relegation battle.

With Championship managers lasting on average 8 months, it is pretty much inevitable that this season we will meet three or four clubs (at least), who have just sacked their Manager.

In fact, if you look at the owners at eg Leeds and Watford, I wouldn't be surprised to be coming out for the second half against teams who started the first half with a different manager!

Fair dos, always comes across as a decent, honest and humble man. Know he's a club man and hope he is looked after.
