If you read the statement from the board it is clear that's what they think. Pretty much blame the whole thing on the approach from Everton, saying he's lost his focus.

That's the thing. You can technically sell your other staff members, managers etc, to other clubs (Everton were prepared to pay £15m for a manager) yet they can't sell a player.
