For three games, it doesn't really matter - just get them a win and that'll be "job done".
As for getting the job permanently, they could do worse.
Imo HR is a very underrated manager, essentially because of his age/personality/image and the fact that he has usually managed dodgy clubs with dodgy or incompetent owners. And since there was a limit to what he could achieve with them on the pitch, then he has concentrated on taking them for a ride off it.
But that changed when he went to Spurs, where they had decent players and a Chairman who kept him well away from the chequebook and on the tightest of reins. Consequently, when he was focused on the job they played some excellent football and he was very successful eg still the longest-serving of Tottenham's 14 permanent (and 6 caretaker) managers since El Tel was sacked 21 years ago. When he took over, Spurs were in real danger of relegation, but he turned them round brilliantly to finish 8th. Then with 4th, 5th and 4th place finishes in his three full seasons, he achieved Tottenham's highest three consecutive League placings since the early 1960's. They also had a brilliant run to the CL Qtr Finals in his one season in that comp.
And with a Win Rate of 50%, Arry was also the most successful Tottenham manager since Bill Nicholson (resigned 1974), though AVB and Pochettino are very marginally ahead since, in fewer games.
Dodgy as f*** but friend of the equally low life gutter press so still getting good PR for now.
