What does it say about him?
Brentford stopper Mark Flecken followed up last week’s record-breaking display against Manchester City with another strong performance, this time in a 2-0 victory over Wolves. The Dutchman made a total of five saves and two high claims as the Bees recorded their second win in four matches.

He used to be sh*te, but now looks a lot more than alright. Walking in a etc etc etc. ?
A ‘season to date’ figure is not going to be representative, we need to see a trend graph!

Or the stats fromt he last two games as a percentage, bet he is near the top then.

Did this quickly on excel using the stats from here so please don't crucify me as I'm no data whizz!

This is PSxG (Post Shot Expected Goals) minus GA (Goals Against).

Past 2 games have been above and beyond anything he's registered so far. Trend is definitely in the right direction...

Gonna be a busy bee in next 2 matches me thinks.

I’ve been skeptical about Flekken in the past, but the past few games and today I see a lot of improvement to his confidence and performance. Great to see and hope it continues in this upward trend!

Hanworthbee will be on with his stat soon.

I think that we swapped him a few games ago for a lookalike. Definitely not the same player that we had earlier in the season!

Totally exposed for all 4 goals today. No chance with any of them.
Made some decent saves/interceptions/passes though.

Don't tell my boss but it's on my work laptop ? so no update until tomorrow...

A quick look at the stats... Liverpool's PSxG was 3.5 and Flekken conceded 4, so technically he underperformed – conceding 0.5 goals more than he should have.

Others may disagree but I'd say all 4 of their goals were pretty much unsaveable ?‍♂️ so the stats only really tell half the story, feels quite harsh to suggest Mark had anything other than a decent game IMO.

The one on one save with Foden was unreal.
He was unflappable with crosses today, he was ridiculously strong.

Dare I say Raya would have struggled with half of what he dealt with tonight.

Fantastic seeing him play like a keeper full of confidence, so happy for him and all looking good moving forward
