Chappers - Any agent with any type of morality would dump his client for the actions he has been convicted of.

I would expect him to tell the client that he can no longer represent him.

There was worse than that in the inteview last night. He suggested that because King is a professional footballer he should be treated differently to other people who would be sacked by their employers for what he's done.

What also annoyed me when he was talking about Barton and Hughes (who he alluded to) was that he is effectively looking to continue his career before King has even served his sentence.

He was playing for Fulham at Northampton after he left us, he came over to get a ball for a throw in and I told him that he a useless **** after his time with us and that he'd made it worse signing for those w******. He told me to Feck Off so he's not a nice fella at all.;)

He has had 13 previous convictions, I doubt this will make any difference to him. King and Joey barton should be locked up in the same cell and then throw away the key..... bad blood!

I thought it was more like you and me. He argued when he was wrong whereas I only spoke the truth. He was crap with us, he's then joined them, case closed. Just take your throw Tony and be gone, no need for any bitterness.

Idont understand he courts, the guy who assaulted and killed, repeat killed, my sunday morning football team mate, got 28 months. Kings sentence seems high in that sense, or possibly the 28 month was low :idea:

Having received 18 months, he will actually serve 9 months if his behaviour inside is good. I am not sure if any time spent in prison on remand is deducted. I think he got bail anyway!
He could actually be released on a home detention curfew (tag) in 6 months time, again subject to good behaviour!:wave:

He needs staying in there for longer. Where is the justice in giving him 18 months and then freeing him within a year.....

I dont think his performance on the radio did much that will help his client.

He came across as arrogant and idiotic , some times it would be nice for people to actually admit they are out of order - I think this has certainly helped with Lee Hughes's rehabilitation back into football.

I wonder if fans would care if next pre season he was unveiled as our new centre forward?

He's going to have time to reflect and change, in which he can either find remorse, shame and take responsibility...or not.

His agent was just on Sky Sports News, according to him King's thirteen previous convictions are 'irrelevant' and shouldn't be judged because of them.

He seemed very apathetic about whether or not King was given any counselling to help him with his problems, he seemed to think that wasn't his responsibility.

I think he will get another team when he comes out but will hopefully have to do so on much lower terms than he is used to.

I suppose if he is to appeal, one can understand him not seeming repentant. If your appeal is to be on the basis of "I didn't do it", you don't want to be seen apologising for doing it.

Given his past record, I think he got off a little lightly, but I wouldn't have expected much more, unpleasant though his crime was... sadly there are too many violent young men (and women) around.

Not surprised by his agent's attitude.. on the basis of ethics, I thinks sports agents would be pretty low down any list

His Agent is ex pro (C PALACE) Tony Finnigan, althoug for some reason I thought he was once also with Brentford. :fishing:

Continuous :confused:Hsi last charge for assault on a women was 2002 Ithink. I doubt he has even the same agent from then. :fishing:

Alright continuously breaking the law, but he has been his agent for long enough. It was just his attitude that he didn't ever try and get King any help that surprised me.

He was, a few games round about 91/92 I think. Was also implicated in a heroin smuggling case but was cleared IIRC.

King is different to the likes of Barton and Hughes.

Hughes was a one time serious error of judgement he is not a career criminal whatever one thinks of him.. It is nonsense for Kings' agent to somehow suggest his client has been treated harshly in comparison. 18 months seems light to me given his record and his continual violence towards women

Barton although having a history of issues has at least seemingly accepted his faults and is trying to reform.

King has been at criminal activity since he was 17 and at 29 is hardly in the category of someone with growing up pains. Wigan's chairman alluded to his bad attitude as to why they were trying to offload him even before this incident.

Any club would be mad to take him on when he comes out next year and my guess is he will find it hard to get one in this country at least.

How do you know he hasn't.

King spent time in drug rehab, for example who sorted that out? :fishing:
