I think Middlesex must be there now.
Bit of controversy at the Oval when Derbyshire thought they had Maynard caught, but it was ruled as a bump ball.
Maynard and Roy with Jordan to follow (who is in good form), Surrey bat deep.
My reading of the situation (code for I could be wrong) but if Surrey and Northants are tied then the most wins in the champsionship overall. Surrey have one more win.

A top effort that Malvern. How Worcs won promotion last year I will never know, so to retain your place in the top flight is a massive massive effort

Ned Eckersley 84* at the moment for Leicester. He has played club cricket for Ealing since colts so good to see him doing well, shame it had to be against Middlesex. He has the tough task of replacing Paul Nixon after his retirement.

Northants look as thought they're not going to get 4 points, so will probably have to settle for 3. Meaning the max they can achieve is 226, meaning Middx are 8 points from promotion. So score 400+ and draw.

Interesting/useless fact: 22 year old Leics wk Ned Eckersley who has hit 106 and so far taken 5 catches against Middlesex is an Acton boy and had a season ticket at Brentford for the 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons....
