Forrester is about to become a dad according to his twitter so could be that is the new arrival

Miguel Llera

Interesting, Thompson can cover at CB i thought.

Llera, remember him missing couple of sitters last season away at Charlton.

New range of brentford gnomes probably :fishing: :owusu:

Miguel Llera

He wasn't at Blackpool very long. What happened there?

Miguel Llera

seems a strange back up at 32 years old, I would have thought he'd want games

Miguel Llera

Agree. It's rather strange that having just gone to Blackpool where he isn't getting games that he chooses to come here where he probably won't get games. I assume the club has looked at this and is satisfied.

Miguel Llera

How do we know he won't get games? If Eger or Osborne get sent off or injured then Llera will definitely get in the team...

You know what, a few years ago that sort of announcement used to drive me nuts. You would get all excited about a major announcement only to find out it was something like a hospitality package for an end of season no contest game versus rochdale or a new kit man had arrived.

Nowadays I can take it as so many players seem to be coming in that the odd red herring is not an issue.

Miguel Llera

I thought last week at Walsall that we looked lightweight at corners, I know that since Big Tel left we've not looked likely but without Legge we don't look tall enough to compete for them, I reckon he changes that.

But wasn't that also the position at Blackpool? Hence the original question about why come here after 3 months?

Its a new ticket office!!!!lol
Wycombe must be quaking in their boots at that one!

Oh dear... Is it really necessary to have 12 photos of that thing under our headline news story?

Miguel Llera

the second by second photos of the portakabin being lifted off the truck were awesome, it was like being there for such an exciting event

..........yep..........moved and turned quicker than Shipperley.......

"sitters"? Thought Lee pulled off two fantastic saves and he hit the bar once or twice. At least he got there, and before Legge, so surely that says something?

Well when I saw Llera going for the chances I pressumed goal, he got in decent positions to score

I thought this as well. I seem to remember him playing pretty well against us, and looked a serious threat at set pieces

Miguel Llera

I'd guess that he's itching to get back to London if he's not getting games at Blackpool; he'll have seen the sights in a couple of days and realised that was it! He always struck me as dominant in the air both defending and attacking - ideal replacement for Legge. I'd expect him to start when we're against an aerial bombardment and Eger to start when against players on the deck.

Perhaps we can put some white stripes on it and park in front of our goal on Saturday!! Wycombe won't notice.

Miguel Llera

Was it Llera that wore gloves at Griffin Park? I remember standing at Ealing Road end seeing him make clear contact with the ball with his hands twice in the one game and getting away with it, and he did the same at Charlton last season. Always seemed to jump with his arms flailing around.

PG's been dying to try out his new digital camera lol

Miguel Llera

Welcome Miguel. I have always rated Llera, even if he is getting a bit old now. I thought Eger and Karliegh played well at Walsall and would stick with them for Wycombe. Is Llera match fit does anyone know?

Miguel Llera

The New Arrival is obviously designed sort out crowd trouble at Griffin Park once and for all.

Have you clocked how narrow that door is.

There is no hope of any of the paddock fatties getting through there to get tickets for the big games. It'll be like one of those old Its A Knockout games..... cue Stuart Hall, "Here come the Belgians."

Its narrower than the turnstiles at Swindon and they have had to open the fire gate at the sides to let a few Bees in there!

Miguel Llera

Big strong lad, comfortable on the ball, has the odd moment of madness apparently. Brave and takes a good free kick - Charlton mate said he is bound to score against them if he plays

Is that Llera or the portakabin?

Miguel Llera

There's more posts about a fecking portacabin on this thread than about the player its titled about ! Show's how interested we must be in the Spaniard !

Miguel Llera

Old missus went to the training ground today and said Llera was strong and wasn't afraid to shirk a tackle, even in training. Big lad in the same style as Legge

Yes that would be him, he also worn a rugby hat similar to what Petr Cech wears for a while.

I don't think you meant this......I hope not anyway. :)

Miguel Llera

is there not a youth or DS centre half who could have stepped up to fill in for Leon for the time he's out? What kind of message does this send out to the young players?

How do we know if they are not given a chance? I just dont like to see funds squandered and i like to see youth and homegrown players given a chance

Jeez Louise! We've started a development squad this season!! We're doing more for the youth team than ever before!!! When they're ready, they'll get the chance. i.e Jake Reeves. But for now let's just be happy that we've a manager and board who reinforce the squad strength when needed.

Then presumably you like to see League One football. You can't just throw kids in when they're not ready for it, what is the point in that?!

Also, how do we know Peter Gilham isn't the 30 goal a season striker we crave until he's given a chance?

Miguel Llera

well what do they do in the premiership now the transfer windows closed? on the whole i dont like short term loans, most of them over the years have been sh*t, last season put me right off them.

Oh yes. Schlupp, Rhodes, Clarke and Szczesny were so sh*t  And that's only in the last couple of seasons.

Beginning to think you're on a wind up mate ;)
