Dodgers v Astros in game 2 was out of this world ! Go Astros !!!!

Game 3, 4 and 5 in Houston starting tonight - you want to be there, then be ready to pay $1200.00 for just a standing only ticket.

This town will shut down from around 7.00pm tonight - the bars will be crammed.

Looking forward to it

Astros take game three for a 2-1 lead.

Darvish didn't maker it out of the second inning.

[TW3Bee]

Dave Martinez signs 3 year deal as The Nats Manager.

[TW3Bee]

Dodgers even it up witha 6-2 win in game four.

Gabe Kapler new Phillies Manager.

[bajenleker]

Kapler?
A WS-ring in 2004.

Will Verlander tie the bag tonight?
Interesting.

[TW3Bee]

A must win tonight for The Dodgers.

Justin Verlander v Rich Hill

Not very confident as Verlander has been unbelievable, but this has been an unbelivable and unpredictable series.

I still think that Yu Darvish will have a say, he may well start game 7, if it's needed, after he was on the receiving end of racist actions by Astros 1st baseman Yuli Gurriel, who was given a 5 game ban, but not until next season.

Here we go.

LET'S GO DODGERS!

[TW3Bee]

Astros strike first in the top of the third.

A solo HR from George Springer.

1-0 Houston.

[Paul USA]

Boo - Astros go down.

Game seven.

Winner takes all.

LET'S GO DODGERS!

[TW3Bee]

Oh ****.

Astros score early.

2-0 Houston.

[Paul USA]

Oh you lot giving it up for the Dodgers.

I am in my recliner, with the luvly Lorna to my right and my son Alan to my left.

Lupe Tortilla's delivered very fine Mexican food 30 minutes ago and a cooler filled with Corana's is slowly being depleted.

Astros score 2 in first innings but Dodigers have runners on 1st and 2nd with only 1 out bottom of first

Gonna be a long nite

But more importantly

Scum 0. V. Brentford 2. !!!!!!!!!!!!

[TW3Bee]

5-0 Houston bottom of the third.

[bajenleker]

First WS.
Congrats.

[Nada Bee]

Well done Astros

This is an interesting article reflecting on what is to be learnt from the Astro's World Series win. It might not be what you expected:

[TW3Bee]

There was a Sports Ilustrated front cover in 2014 that had Astros 2017 World Series winners..

It was a great series, just not the ending I wanted, but full credit to The Astros.

Dodgers - who are they

The best team in the National League that won over 100 ? games and won the NL West for the last five years.

Goes to show how the play-offs have a life of their own and explains why post-season stats are kept separate from regular season ones.

Alex Cora already making the right sounds as the new Red Sox manager. Let's not forget they beat the Yankees to the AL East title. Should be a cracking contest next season between the two of them, can't really see the other three sides getting much of a look in.

[scruff puppy pup]

Giancarlo Stanton - he of the Miami Marlins and 52 home runs and a ludicrously expensive and long contract - has indicated he would approve a trade to any of four teams: Yankees, Dodgers, Astros or Cubs. Interest has been shown by the Giants and Cardinals, but they are not Stanton's preferred destination.
My feeling is the Yankees won't go in for him, partly because of the price and partly because of their experience with the A-Rod blockbuster trade. If Stanton goes, my guess would be the Dodgers, then the Cubs. Dodgers have the money and the prospects to make a trade.

Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani, described as the Babe Ruth of Japanese baseball has signed with the Los Angeles Angels, to pair up with the mighty Mike Trout. Ohtani also pitches.

[scruff puppy pup]

Okay, New York press now saying Miami's asking price for Stanton has come down in an attempt to shift him and that the Yankees are serious players. Both they and the Dodgers have the prospects to make a trade.
If it's the Yankees, highly likely Clint Frazier will be part of the package.

Not quite over the line yet, but apparently close:

Another story in the Daily News says that if the above goes through, the Mets are interested in trading with the Marlins for Starlin Castro to play second base. Why would the Marlins be interested? To save on salary.
