Micah had nothing to say about us, as we're bang average. But then, he doesn't have much to say about anything, as he's ... well ...
About standard for him, Not exactly the sharpest pencil in the box when it comes to being a pundit is he!!

Don’t really enjoy listening to fara Williams who was on motd2, just don’t like the way she talks

To be fair to Pearce, he was also very complimentary about Thomas Frank, including what a great guy Thomas is.

First on tonight.....??.....(Doubt it ?)
Mitro v Toney analysis...??....

MotD

Sensational analysis from Keown.
Basically reading stuff out.
It's stunning progress to hear he can read now. I thought when he got knocked on the head at GP before the Chelsea game that had done for the last brain cell

Pearce talking about ”spirit of the game” in terms of VAR and offside. It was in the Palace game btw.

What is he on about? Think he is confusing it with cricket.
Or the opinions of CE's agent....??.....??

Again. I would say to Jonathan Pearce, VAR was bought in to appease people who didn't think refs were good enough or could make tight decisions.
The same people who were moaning about refs before VAR are now moaning about refs and VAR !

But it still doesn’t make sense as VAR was introduced to address “clear and obvious errors” and now it has grown legs and looks at all potential offsides.
The other concern is that by allowing play to continue even when clear that a player is clearly offside by Yards (Toney second disallowed effort) someone may get seriously injured in that period that will no doubt see the laws changed again.

If a player, eg a striker, is steaming into another player eg the keeper, and the lino thinks there was an offside , he'll or she'll flag.
If not, they won't just in case there's something they didn't see.

I think the director for the programme needs replacing. They need to tell Lineker to shut up and get onto next match as they always run out of time for the last match.

Disappointed with Robin Cowans commentary. I like her and have heard several podcasts with her and she knows her stuff, but the commentary today really failed to capture the passion of tihe game. It felt like she was simply factually reporting what was happrning in a cold way not conveying the atmosphere and drama.

Agreed. Thought the highlights were poor and felt rushed. Barely more on there than the 3 mins Sky highlights. They even use clips for their analysis that don't make the highlights (e.g. Toney's other free kick). If we'd played Liverpool or a bit club, highlights would have been longer.

Probably needed a longer programme. Eight games is more than they would normally cover on a Saturday and I don't think they had any longer.

Yeah, and plenty of minutes to be used up discussing VAR....

I felt the highlights for one of the games (can't remember which) was a poor distillation of what actually happened.
