Not MOTD related, but most of the football podcasts are now focusing mostly on the title race, chase for Europe and relegation battle. None of which are realistically (Europe) involved in. We get a mention but we are comfortable mid table so not sure what people expect?

We retaliated by booing YNWA. Added a nice edge to the atmosphere.
Think we booed that last year, or sang Hey Jude, can't remember.

MotD

Crikey, motd just showed the booing of the anthem today? Surprised it didn’t get mentioned on here.
Probably because it was an expectation more than anything.

Disappointed some Bees joined in too, but as @AB says, it did add a bit of spice to the atmosphere.

No voice on here for Republicans then.
Not in a thread about a football match that was going on, no. Then to react by calling all mods ****s and w***ers - rightly deleted and banned and I hope the swinging door hit his arse on the way out. Some people just want to follow the football without the fecking political posturing - it seems as though we have to repeat this endlessly.

Best to ban ALL threads relating to religion and politics in my opinion.

It wasn’t a thread it was a post. In any case We have tried that and in the main it’s the policy, but there is often lots of cross over . We do our best and generally it works pretty well. Thanks for the input though it will surely be discussed at our next nazi meet up

:backtotopic:
Just watched on catch up and thought they were relatively positive about our performance.
Not sure why there was such an extended piece showing loads of Nunez's misses from this season as part of the narrative from Ian Wright saying how brilliant he was yesterday......when he clearly wasn't......

Ok, split hairs. Nazi? Well quite possibly true though the way some of the moderators act!

Silly Hat and Rebus in one evening?
Good job we didn’t lose badly or it could have been carnage.

“W***ers” I get, but surely “****s” is open to considerable ambiguity. Rudeness is one thing but lack of clarity is on another level.

Their disallowed goal was the only attack of theirs they showed.

Danny Murphy really hates us don’t he the Fulham tart. His whole face contorts when he talks about us. So begrudging when he has to compliment us at all. It’s like we are like the bloke who stole his wife but we just saved his life. “Yeah I suppose they had 50 shots on target but West Ham might have scored a consolation goal if you were allowed to use your hands in football.”

Murphy’s Law is to hold an opinion so biased as to render its holder helpless in delivering a fair assessment of something everyone else not afflicted can see.

The Murphy is question is a very sad and most likely lonely individual.

Murphy talked out of his ar5e about the handball. Natural to put your hand up above your shoulder? Yeah right!

But, I have to say, I almost spat tea all over my keyboard, when he was complimentary about us (albeit begrudgingly), at the end!

MotD

Thinking about the argument, over the handball, some more: if the ball had ended up in the net, after hitting his hand, or hit his hand instead of the post and gone it, it would have been OK to allow the goal, then, because he was "protecting himself"? Total b0llocks!

As it was, the ball hitting his hand took the sting off it, otherwise it would have rebounded further out, instead of falling at the feet of the player who squared it for Ings to head in.

Mate, if I was about to clatter the post, I'd have had my hands up too.
