Not much said about Brentford, all the analysis was about Brighton's goal and great link up play?
Because that was the winning goal and they had a short time to discuss the game. None of them would have watched it live. They are relying on the production team to give them talking points to mull over.

MotD

MotD will always show the bigger teams first, conscious that armchair followers of Liv/MU will turn off after watching their team. We will only be higher in the order if there’s a surprise result, or we get tonked by 5 at ManC. A 0-0 Dregs v Dregs will always be shown last, after any remaining games with goals.

Comparing the NTT20 boys to the likes of Shearer, Wright and the woeful Dion Dublin is like comparing Van Gough to Darren Gough.
I can’t think of anyone on the BBC roster that provides analysis that is near good enough to rival Sky. Dreadful.

You would think a prerequisite for talking about football on TV would be having something interesting to say about football. I have to agree some of the analysis on Sky is much better e.g. v Arsenal and the Championship play offs. I know a few on here have criticised the likes of Don Goodman but compared to the likes of Michael Owen or Garth Crooks in years gone by...

Also being good at football isn't always the same as the skills needed for being a pundit.

MotD

Would tend to agree.....
Probably because we were the "bigger" story.....??......
And also because Colin Murray really loves us. If the Arsenal game had been on the Saturday I’m sure we’d have been first up but all the discussion would have been about what had gone wrong for Arsenal. Let’s get a result v Wolves and see. Then give Liverpool a hiding and then we can moan if we don’t get the plaudits.

FFS…. I will have to leave the pub early tonight ?

“Brentford look as if they’ve been a Premier League team for ever and a day” ☺️
Compare with Keown’s comment that Norwich look pretty much relegated already.

Good to get recognition for what we’ve thought but are biased about- we look like a PL team and not because of pure effort but quality through the team.

Many of us have been concerned about weaknesses (eg defensively in Canos and Roerslev) or a lack of attacking creativity. But today we showed we have the ability.

Interesting that it takes the '1st team know it alls' of Shearer and Wright to not bee there, before we get a decent analysis of the match. I know it's probably an editorial decision, but it doesn't look good as far as S&W are concerned!

Looking forward to their reaction when we beat Liverpool!

Loved tonight. We secluded Wolves to listening about how good our Danish DM and English CF are.

We're starting to get noticed! Simple as. Role on the next few months.

On a separate note, Holte End sounded fantastic again when they put the effort in.
Wonder why they limit it to a couple of 20 second bursts a game?

Jonathan Pearce (whom I’m not normally a fan of!). The beauty of that comment is that 10 of the team that started yesterday, were Championship
Players last season! The contrast with the Foolham approach to the PL could not be greater. Our other big money signings will make their mark, but not this week.

Wright was doing the game live was complimentary and gave good anyslsis of us

Wrighty knew all about it already. His face was thunder during the Arse game.

Ian Wright was in the studio for the full match v Wolves for the Australian broadcast. He was extremely complementary about Brentford v Arsenal and yesterday against Wolves. Dare I say it, even Michael Owen seemed to know a lot about us.

We're big time now.

Owen was very insistent that Toney should have had a penalty a corner before after wrestling but because he did go down didn’t get it. He learnt and went down on the next corner…

Was that broadcast available in the UK?

I guess the bigger games are on Sunday so expect Shearer on tonight

Murphy was meant to be on last night instead of Keown but Tested +ve

It's the Premier League broadcasting broadcast which is in every country except the UK
Thanks, hobbsy, but is it replayed afterwards? Hullbee and upnorthbee seemed to have seen it??

Have a channel here called Premier Football, it carries English, Scottish, German, Polish, Dutch and Canadian Leagues, saw the Bees last evening and a rerun today at Midday, West Ham and United on live at the moment.

It’s part of a northerner benefit package :)

Don't see how.

I mean, Van Gogh was a hopeless cricketer and Gough couldn't paint to save his life.

(With due acknowledgement to the legend that was Tommy Cooper)
This, I think, is a rehash of an old Morecambe and Wise joke?
