A young player who has beefed up and added some pace to his game.:sorted:
Worked hard and did well in a bad side last season but would walk into a fair few sides in our league this season.:sorted:

I haven't seen anyone mention him yet as a potentially saleable asset but it seems to me he's moving towards that status? Does the way in which he moves around the pitch not remind anyone else of Steven Gerrard? Could do with being a bit more accurate with his passing though.....

He's probably the most improved player so far this season, his commitment it 100% and his all round game is just getting better, If he keeps making progress I can see him easily making it at a higher level...

Yeah, I thought that too...and he's been getting steadily better for the last two years.

It's a shame whenever someone starts to play well we talk about selling them...but I suppose that's our position...

i agree with every thing said
I voted for him as player of the year last year.
His only fault is that he gives the ball away too often in bad areas.
If he can cut that out who knows where he could go

I don't think he's much different to last year. Playing in a lower division and alongside players who don't just fall to pieces at the first sign of pressure has meant we've seen more sides to his game though

I think there is one major difference, Simon C. He's got a lot stronger and quicker, I reckon. I can't remember him chasing down and winning balls just outside the box as he has done this year last year if you see what I mean.

Never understood the stick he got, a young lad in a sh*te squad. The one thing that impressed me about him last season was that he always had a go., unlike many of our other so called players. Don;t write off Osbourne either, another one who will come good.

He may be quicker than last year but we have no way of knowing as he was too busy marking other teams entire midfield last season. I think he's been given licence to play how he wants rather than getting better than last year

I remarked yesterday that the only thing lacking in his game at the moment is self-belief - the confidence to really go for the opening when he sees it. I am confident that this will come with time, and with Terry and Andy's support.

His work rate and tackling has always been good, however last season he panicked once he'd won it and had time and space.

He cannot and should not be trying to play defence splitting long balls but play to his strengths, ie. win it and play it quickly and simply.

He does seem to have found an extra yard of pace and I hope he continues to improve.

No apologies from me. I think he's great VFM, and can play in three or four positions for the side.

I agree with Mark.

I remember his first real decent game against Sunderland, which was not typical of him at the time

....he improved last year, and I hope he keeps improving....it can only be good news for the Bees if he does.

so playing for one team in his career, he is now a 'journeyman' ? :confused:

His passing needs to improve. but his overall play, tackling,strength,heading has improved with better players around him. I thought he could make a good CB when the time comes, like Ivar did.

Yeah, agree with most of the above. Reckon he's on the verge of becoming a decent player and, contrary to a couple of the comments, think he IS showing more self-belief and confidence this season. Looks to have improved his fitness as well.

That day where he collected the -1 was the day he showed me what a good player he was going to be. A very good Scunny team took us apart and he had a stormer.

indeed, but he still needs to add goals, as centre midfield has to score 10+ between them for a team to be successful.

Ive allways liked mousinho if you ask him to do a job for the team he wont let anyone down. if he could score goals he would be even better i voted him MOTM vs southampton,mansfield and bristol city,

Agree he's improved - but I think the improvement has been steady throughout his Brentford career. He's proving to be a very useful asset, still young and if he can add few goals to his game could be our star man. As far as I was aware that was the common concensus anyway.

At present, he's still learning and he needs to add being able to read a game better and pass more creatively to his sheer enthusiasm and fitness. But, these, with his ability to fit into a number of positions, are exactly the qualities that can lift a game coming off the bench. I still think he'll come to something.

That sums it up nicely. He's also exhibited a bit more skill this season than we've seen before (that little drag back and turn v Mansfield).

As someone close to me on Saturday said, he could be our version of Steven Gerrard if he continues to develop. ;) :sorted:

Have always liked him, so no apoogies from this neck of the woods.

To those who suggest his passing and shooting needs to improve, possibly so BUT if he could do these things consistently well he wouldnt ever have been a Bee IMHO.

I'll go along with that. He has certainly worked on his physique and i agree would probably get into most sides in this division. Well done Mr M sir. :sorted:

I hate to break up this lovefest, but can't anyone remember him and Leary chasing shadows last season and the way he was taken apart by decent wingers against PortVale and Colchester, when playing at right back:confused:
I like the guy, he has a great attitude and always trys, but let's have a reality check before we invite Jose and Sir Alex to start the bidding.:rolleyes:

1) He is faster this season because league two is slower and there are less skillful players marking him or taking him on.
2) It also looks like he has support from other midfielders this year unlike the tackleshy trinity of Tillen, Brooker and Skulason of yesterseason.
3) He needs to start getting up around the box more, possibly scoring, as do our other midfieldrightbacks Paed and KOC when they play there. It all looked a bit Ricky Newman from the lot of them in pre-season.
4) When he gets to play as the holding player next to Moore or Connell attacking, in a 442 or 433, his value to the team will become clearer.

That said, Mousinho won the ball aout half an hour into the game on saturday and swept past one player, got his foot over the ball, dropped his head and went left, leaving another county player for dead, :eek: he then went for the byline, knocking it past the last defender before it went out of play just as he reached it. I could feel myself wheling upwith enthusiam the same way Tabb, Sidwell or Pratley used to go at other teams so it can't be all bad.

Nobody has said that. Hes getting some deserved plaudits due to his great attitude. When compared to so-called senior pros like Brooker it is refreshing to see young players giving it their all for BFC.
Personally I dont think he`ll ever be a world beater but a good attitude and 90 minutes of hard work gets some players a long way. Look what Hunt has achieved through sheer commitment and hard work - now reported to be on £15k a week and good luck to him :wave:

I agree the most improved player last year to this, i herd that it was Martin allens son who recomended him to his dad. Either way i think he will have a good season:sorted:

When he captained the side against Soton he looked a seasoned pro not one entering their 2nd full season as a Football League player. He seems to have got more mature. The turning point had to be that game against Gillingham.

i admit,i have had my doubts about him in the past(especially his lack of pace) but this season he has so far proved me wrong

Thought he played well Sat, seems to have bulked up a little and got taller too???

Defo not a right back but obviously if we are struggling he can do a job. Still learning but carries on the way he is with all his effort he cant go wrong. Anyone who gives 100% will always get backed by the fans.

He's got better ( in that he now plays within his limits..but does it very well), we have dropped a division and he is playing with better players.

All in all a better situation for him...he is making it hard for TB to drop him when Pead and Smith are fit ...good luck to him and good to see.

We have no need to apologise that he looked out of his depth last season.

Why can't you accept that Mousinho himself has actually got quicker, regardless of his surroundings? I noticed at Mansfield when he sprinted half the pitch - he was definitely quicker, and he wasn't exactly racing another player...
