Jimenez is a fine centre forward, only now getting back to the levels he was at before the injury. His goal was 12 for the season, so not shabby at all. Much like Brentford, Fulham have shown patience with him and now reaping some benefits, unlike Wolves who didn’t or couldn’t with both players.

Nathan Collins

Waited until he got my POTS vote last week to put in one of his worst performances of the season yesterday :ROFLMAO: oops

Nathan Collins

With VVD being benched by Liverpool tonight, Nathan is the only outfield player to have played every PL minute this season.

Bryan only missing out when he was subbed against ****** (a)

Just listened to TF post match interview and didn't realise that Collins is the only outfield player in the PL to have played every minute of the PL this season. Remarkable stat that. Has come on leaps and bounds this season and maybe not next season but surely captain material. Been superb this year. Once of my favourite moments this season was his wonderful assist for KS to get his hat trick against Leicester.

yep, and Bryan almost did the same apart from his substitution in that awful night at the Cottage

There was a beautiful passage of play today were Nathan strode confidently forward, exchanged a 12 and burst forward...only to be hacked down. He is a brilliant player and what an achievement to play every minute this season. Great signing and Wolves saw what they are missing. Well they probably didn't but we all know

Nathan Collins

Would have no problem with that at all.
Me neither.
But didn't TF say in an interview towards the end of last season he thought NC still had a bit of a way to go in terms of his leadership skills??
Guess it's irrelevant if the new Coach doesn't have a problem.

I would understand that (TF's comment). He had his own wobbles when he started with mistakes seeming to affect him. Also think he's prone to the head going down sometimes rather than getting angry and gee'ing people up to perform better.
Otherwise would seem like one of the most obvious choices and is growing all-round all the time (and likely to play every game which is important too).
I think Kelleher wouldn't actually be the worst in the world temperament wise, but he's new, and it's probably better to have a central defender/midfielder as a captain, nearer to everyone.
I think the other Liverpool purchase SVDB actually has the right determination/drive to be a good captain in future but maybe a bit too soon (and think he's one that's probably has his sights on a big move in 2/3 years - and very ambitious - just my view on the way he answers things in interviews).
Reckon Yarmo could grow into captain material in a year or two too...but also too soon probably.

Nathan Collins

Officially named as our new leader and captain!

Bravo.

Nathan Collins

Makes sense given we operate a leadership group within the squad.......Nat and Jordan working in close proximity down the spine of the side will hopefully ensure clear communication across the pitch and with the dug out during a game.

Nathan Collins

Happy for him! Shows how much he has developed over the last year. Don’t think he was even part of the leadership group last season. Fully deserved. Was expecting Hendo, but I guess he is still gonna bring his leadership abilities (and pointing and shouting) with or without the armband.

Nathan Collins

Congratulations Nathan I think you will make a great skipper. I was convinced it would be Hendo based on his experience but I am sure he will be part of the leadership group helping Nathan drive the standards.

Nathan Collins

You just know that he is the right one, will only improve, keep on growing with the-responsibility

Nathan Collins

Easily my favourite player. So pleased he’s captain.

Let’s be patient with him as it’s an big added responsibility for a (still) young player but over time he will thrive with this.

Nathan Collins

Promoted from within, a classic BFC strategy.

A perfect fit for him, Keith and those around him.

All the best, Nathan.

Nathan Collins

Well deserved. You could tell in the friendly when he was telling Thiago he was in wrong place that Collins has that leadership thats needed

Nathan Collins

O Captain! My Captain!

Great news, well deserved. He battled through some pretty heavy moments at the start with us and has since turned into our most solid player. There is no doubt in my mind he's the best man for the job on and off the pitch.

Nathan Collins

fantastic choice he will get into the refs ears every game
He’ll need the experience of Henderson to ensure he doesn’t overstep the mark but I do think KA has made the correct decision.

Nat...Sawyer?

Nathan Collins

Sound choice.

I always think it's a good decision to have a CB as captain.

Nathan Collins

Named captain not gonna lie thought it would be Henderson but however its well deserved...
I think a lot of people thought like you but Nathan will play every game like last season, Unlike Henderson who won't, That's probably the reason why, So KA has made the right call indeed.

22 22 Nathan Collins
22 22 I say
22 22 Nathan Collins
Brentford's captain
Ole ole.

Good decision I reckon.
Great player for us. Has that continuity we like and need and Henderson to help him out if he wants it.

Well deserved
