No I think you're getting a little confused

I suggested Collins could make a good defensive midfielder. That was it. Just an opinion.

You then said Ajer had already "nailed down that spot" which was a bit confusing as Ajer has never played as a defensive midfielder. The positions that Ajer plays for us are right back or right wing back or central defender.

I'm sure it's probably been mentioned in an interview I missed, but didn't realise until disappearing down an internet rabbit hole earlier that Nathan is the nephew of Eamonn Collins, who until a few years back was the UK's youngest ever professional footballer. Eamonn's story was one that really stuck in my mind when i was a youngster absorbing everything I could about the game like a sponge. Sounds like quite the family.

The full back is Ogbene who got a bit unlucky with the bounce. Bad defending all round but pretty poor from Collins

He wasn't marking him initially to block the run, not much he can do to stop a header like that. Commentator sounded a bit clueless too.

I'm sure he will see it exactly the same way and being hauled off at half time will do absolute wonders for his confidence. I'm sure that'll work for him and Brentford too....

The commentator was slating him but not sure he did that much wrong there. It was a great delivery and he had a man behind him. The middle CB was marking no one and should take his share of the blame I think. Plus Collins out of position at LCB. At least he got to rest for the 2nd half.

Good on the ball but he got turned a few times by trying to get the ball from behind when all he needed to do was hold the player. Got roughed up a couple of times which is a no no for a defender. Needs to toughen up a bit and learn from this.

Because he's got a couple of seasons PL experience and international caps it's easy to forget just how young he is. He's barely a month or two older than KLP and 22 is no age at all for central defenders who, generally speaking, tend to mature later than most other outfield players. He'll make mistakes along the way but he's a gem of a signing for the long term.

I've no doubt we will develop him and there are experienced centre backs in our squad who will assist the process.

You weren't the only one, and he was too - he was visibly depressed during/after that Everton game but he was massive today. Absolutely incredible defending and also fairly good on the ball he was loving it at the final minute.

Think it was Gallagher that he skinned with the step-over and sudden burst of pace.
