New Stadium Progress

The "right conditions", oh dear. I could be retired by the time LR is ready. Still, OAP rates, special seat in the geriatric stand with a blanket tucked round me, dribbling, smelling of wee. Something to look forward to.

Amen to all that :sorted:

But I'll still need the aisle seat because of my knackered old knees.

New Stadium Progress

So has anybody got any idea of when the stadium will be ready???

New Stadium Progress

Have you read the thread at all or did you just want to make sure it had enough question marks in it?

morecambes new stadium is only going to hold 7000? Thats not very ambitious!

I would love some safe standing to be incorporated in ur new ground but I cant see it somehow...

New Stadium Progress

7000 capacity with 5000 standing does seem a bit lacking in ambition... sounds like preparation for the Conference! Maybe their plan to ground-share with the local beach volleyball team fell through.

Saves them quite a bit of money not needing to buy the 5000 seats good planning by them:fishing:

New Stadium Progress

That was over a year ago and they might not even have a club to put in it.

Official minutes of the last Lionel Road Liaison Group meeting, which focused on local economic impact & opportunities, are now on the Brentford Community Stadium website. Go to:

http://www.brentfordcommunitystadium.com/meetings/previous-meeting/

The next meeting has been put back to 11 May. This will focus on design & architecture. I will put up brief, unnofficial notes shortly after the meeting.

Thank you for this.
Some very important points to be taken into consideration.
Bearing in mind that this project is described as being vital to the club's future viability, it is surprising that these minutes are not yet featured on the BU website.
Anyway, let us hope it succeeds.

If you are 100% confident that there is a plan B that will see BFC playing at Lionel Road within 5 years, should plan A go tits up, then fine, i'll buy you a pint in the Peter Gilham Lounge of our new stadium.:sorted: (this offer expires at midnight 12/6/2013;) )

Barratts shares had a rise yesterday, back to almost 25% of where they were a year ago, dropped back slightly today, but beer prices went up, so a bit of swings and and roundabouts.

Will MarkBFC be buying a new camera/my boys forgo university or the will the Arsenal fan have wait an extra week for his single lense SLR Digital megapixle gigabite thingamagig point and squirt idiot proof anyone can be David Bailey camera and my boys go to Havard;)

This has probably been covered elsewhere but how long is the option over the land at Lional Road?

Are we protected if it expires as I assume Barratts could take control of the land for alternative development purposes if it expires before we get approval for our new stadium etc?
