lol Ask the guy to open the gate and he will

Couldn't the gate be taken away now that only home fans use this part of the ground?, wouldn't need to have a guy opening and closing the gate then

You have to show a ticket to get through, Ealing Road has a limit on how many can stand there for safety reasons so I assume it is to make sure only ticket holders get through

When we had ealing road before as the home end there wasn't a gate.

But then you'd get people paying £18 and then sitting down in The Braemar stand? - It's not exactly hard to get through without showing your ticket...

Pay the extra £2 and enjoy better facilities...

New Stripes

:nono:

It would be shockingly bad PR for BIAS if they put resources into something that is only for fans who sit in the Braemar Road stand.

The bar's for everyone. You just barge past the midget stewards at the gate to the Ealing Road, if need be. :sneakoff:

 Not that they bother to check from memory.

Wrong way round. The stewards should be more rigorously checking tickets at the entrance to the stands in Braemar to make sure Ealing Rd fans aren't doing this. From a safety point of view it will be overcrowding on the terrace that would be a bigger concern as safety certificates are harder to get for terraces.

New Stripes

went in pre-game for my first visit, more tables/seating needed, £3 for a fosters is a bit off putting, and plastic cups need replacing with proper glasses but otherwise preferred it to the usual battle to get served in the princess royal - and presumably the club benefits more financially :sorted:

and the stewards didnt check our season tickets when we went through the gates to ealing road just before kick off.

New Stripes

thought it was very poor to pay £3 a pint and get it in a flimsy plastic glass proper glasses please or wont bother again

New Stripes

That just aint going to happen. Think how easy it is to store hundreds of plastic vs glass vessels? Also the pol-ice wouldn't have it.

Also £3 is pub prices Houghton  Apart from the Zoo where the piss is £2.70 but I wouldn't chance it for 30p ;)

New Stripes

admittedly living in the sticks paying anything over £2.50 for a pint of standard lager shocks me :sorted:

New Stripes

All we want now is the carpet back, seats round the perimeter, a bigger bar, sound-proofed doors, ambient lighting and we can start putting back on some serious fund-raising gigs...

lol lol lol

New Stripes

Can people transfer to New Road after?

Providing you have a pre-booked ticket (e.g. ordered pre-game and collected at GP) or a season ticket for either Ealing Road or New Road then 'yes'.

Early gate opens at 6 on Tuesday nights

New Stripes

I didn't eat the pies that's how good it looked :)

Probably because you were too busy boring people half to death talking about Rugby as if anyone gave a sh1t about the silly game ?

You don't drink the glass, you nob end.

New Stripes

Says you who can't be arsed to get out of his comfy seat to have a drink at half time :nono:
Because my seat is comfy, I have a Cherry Coke next to me and get 10 minutes of watching kids kick footballs at Farnham's head :D

New Stripes

I was quite impressed with how the new stripes was working on Saturday.

- No queues at the bar

- Some free bar nibbles

- Very nice decor/facilities for a club our size.

Well done all!

New Stripes

Had a swift after the game. Next to no one in the place, which just made ROB's protestations about how bad we are louder. .

What was his solution? To close the PR and attend the training ground with his "mate" "head under a Volvo bee"?

New Stripes

Apparently we were sh*te tonight according to some bald, fat bloke. Sorry, I know that doesn't narrow it down a great deal.

Did he mention that Dickens is doing a great job and that we should have stuck by Dickens's mate?

I think we'll be sh*te until Scott and Heath leave won't we?

New Stripes

very interested in how it will look post revamp

I always thought we should have railings on the punters side about 4ft from the bar almost like the old ones from ealing road for people to lean on and to keep those annoying sippers away from the bar to allow others to get to it.

glass not plastic is a must just tell the monkies on the door to do their job properly.

New Stripes

[moanmoanmoan]I bet the bar is still smaller than it was originally[/moanmoanmoan]

New Stripes

Draught beers may well be available but I don't see anything worth drinking at all. Hasn't anyone at the club heard of cask ale?

lol.

Its obviously meant to cater for the masses.

Not stand alone requests.

It's not worth commerical sense & too much grief to bother with real ales only for match days. Anyway we've got enough decent pubs ranging from The Lord Nelson to the North & Maggie & Crown in the town, plus a few in between to wet one's whistle.

New Stripes

Worthington  Didn't know that still existed. Is it that creamy head sh*te they serve in most corporate bars ? Sorry, I'll still use the Hive/Stripes for a swift post match pint or a last quick one before KO but most of my drinking will be done in the Griffin - as always decent Fullers and Guinness

New Stripes

Wimbledon AFC use a small poly pin for their real ales at their bar, I have heard it always runs out so they do not have to keep it till the next game. It would be nice to have a decent real ale inside the ground but the Magpie and Crown will suffice.

New Stripes

i bet there'll still be just the 3 or 4 poor souls trying serve the 500................
