6 months ago a new family moved in next door to me, a Muslim family. I got chatting with them and they had 3 sports mad kids. My job is a sports coach.
Anyway during the lockdown i could hear the kid arguing in the garden because they were bored. I gave them some of my sports equipment so they had something to do.
Also told them about Brentford.
Today one of them had a Brentford tracksuit on.
Warmed my heart.

He came into the world when we were really bad but have only had a couple of mediocre seasons since- my son’s the same age and his first game was Darlington away as we won L2.

My son is 13 too, first game was Accrington at home, 3-0 Bees. He has only seen the very very good times, gets the bang hump sometimes when they don't play well. I have to remind him that any of the games he has seen them play badly are probably better than than at least 50% of the games I have watched and I think that is probably being generous.
