Today was the 8th time we've scored 4 or more goals in a match this season...
To put this into context, we only scored 4+ in the Championship three times in the season when we got promoted.

Even with the BMW we only did it 4 times.

So this season we’ve scored 4+ more times in 35 PL games than in 92 games in our two best second tier seasons since the early 1930s.

Wiss, Kev and Bryan only need 4 more goals to get to 50 for the PL season. That would put them up with the very best front 3s…
It’s heading towards Salah/Mane/Firmino territory. Imagine that combined with a settled back 4 all season!

Only Manchester City (40) and Liverpool (39) as of today, have scored more home league goals this season than Brentford (38).
A few more home goals needed Sunday week at the Gtech change all that.

We've scored four or more in a Premier League match more often than Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Newcastle, none of whom have managed it more than six times. In fact it's very likely that nobody in the PL comes close to our record - I just couldn't be bothered to check the results of every single club.

If scores stand in Brighton-Liverpool and ManCity bounces back and smashes Bournemouth, it's still in our hands to finish 8th, and if Chelsea wins Conference while finishing 7th (lose to Forest, Villa at least draw), 8th is still Europe

Unfortunately, we are currently 9th.

8th is probably gone but can still equal our best finish on Sunday provided Man City do their job properly tomorrow

1) It was 12 years ago today, not yesterday
2) How is that a positive post?
Honestly, I think I felt the same yesterday as I did after that game 12 years ago!
Brentford, weren’t it?

To be positive, Fulham last did the double over us in the 1947/48 season, so I’ll put a note in the diary towards the end of this century, for the next!

With the draw at Wolves, yesterday, we have now reached 200 EPL Points.
Thanks for the goal, Bryan. 20 took me up to e/w on my top goalscorer bet!

Seriously, in 4 PL seasons, we’ve had a 20 goal striker in 2 of them…
(and people wonder what the secret is to staying in the Premier League).

Eight Premier League clubs playing in European competitions – our fixture list will look like a game of Pick-up sticks – but no such distractions for us as we focus of the league and domestic cup competitions.

Bet there will be some proper crap KO dates and times.

If you'd offered 10th and most wins, goals to date in the EPL I would say 99% of fans would have snapped your hands off. Add into the mix and more expansive playing style and it is arguably the best season since WW2.

I won £135 for a top 10 finish and £400 on a league winners acca so that's next season paid for. :sorted:

The i Newspaper:
Brentford review
"A seriously impressive season, even if there was no European qualification to act as the ultimate crowning glory. Brentford finished 16th last season, sold their centre forward and then saw his replacement get ruled out for most of the season with a serious knee injury. But Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo became an even more effective partnership – the rise of Mikkel Damsgaard as a creative force hauled Brentford forward."

Just a week into the close season, many rumours of in / out possibilities have been mentioned already.
I like many supporters look out for developments at the club.
I am sure that the management team are working on any transfers/loans for next season to complete the jigsaw.
The season that has just finished brought us all hope that Brentford can take that next step with a few 'tweeks' with a european place challenge next season.
All enjoy your close season.
New fixtures released 180625.

Should Bryan Mbuemo join Manchester United, he will be joining the likes of;
Tommy Kavanagh,Stewart Houston Frank Blunstone and Paddy Roche, Alex Dawson who have been involved with both clubs.
I am sure that there must be more.

The period before the publication of the fixtures is normally the deadest and dullest part of the close season, especially in a summer without an international tournament. But its raced by this year as its been such a thrilling white knuckle ride. It seems we don't need any actual football to keep us all hugely entertained.

I beg to differ. Mrs J will attest that I’m currently watching more games live than in many previous summers. So much so, that I’m struggling to keep up with the athletics, cycling, golf and tennis also on. At least I’m out of that dangerous sunshine….

Anyone got anything? It's been a difficult few weeks to be a Brentford fan!

We have the best people to navigate through this (on paper) tricky spell - also having players linked to bigger clubs is a sign that what we are doing is working. If we had players that nobody was interested in I'd be far more worried to be honest.
