Having being in all ends of the Ground, starting in Breamer, moving Brook Road, then New Road And Now Ealing, i want to comment and see the views of Bees Fans about our support?
My opinion is that we just arent loud enough, Ealing Road do thier bit, but New Road and Breamer just are dead quite even the Paddock!
If we want to get out this sh*tty league then we need the extra 13th man at all home and away games!

What have we got now? A paddock devoid of characters, full of wrinklies and zero atmosphere. The powers that be simply killed the place.

Saturday was really poor. Admittedly, as LB says, it was sunny, but there was more than 4,000 in and it was too quiet. Even when the teams were being read out at 2:59 people couldn't even be bothered to cheer the names, which seemed to be a sign of things to come. The on-pitch action wasn't exactly inspiring and we did manage to lift for brief periods to let the team know we were still there, but it was too quiet. We have a reputation for having a great atmosphere at Griffin Park, but it hasn't shown itself so far this season.
I'm all for sound-proofing the Wendy House if we can do it on the cheap. Away teams have the noise advantage with a fraction of the crowd. I still think we should have given them the terrace, even with the slightly higher capacity. The sun would be in their eyes and it doesn't create as much noise even with our lot all singing. It's not like we're going to get capacity in unless we get a big cup game at home anyway, at which time we can easily swap over and make that temporarily the home end. Brook Road also has a better view for those who want to sit up top.

i remember obtaining a megaphone off some stewards in the new road at home to brighton once about ten or so years ago. TOWN FULL OF FAGGOTS. lovely old job. billy hunt? gashbee was top boy then, not banana.

For what it's worth i coughed up blood after the Notts County and Wycombe games and lost my voice.
I never get that bad at home games and i'm not sure why, possibly the scornful looks ipeople get from the Ealing road glitterati whenever they try to start a song instead of waiting for their lead on Birmingham city related songs.
The Brook Road singers have found ourselves diluted in Ealing road by people happy to stand in perfect silence, akin to a grenadier guard who offer an occasional tut or sigh.
Atmosphere shouldn't be some contrived asset that we feel we should acquire, it should come naturally, the same way quoting Tim Lovejoy should never be confused with terrace wit.

That said 'Braemar give us a song' is becoming more and more ironic each week.

There hasn't been that much to sing about lately... the club has just been relegated and is not looking like making a return to the heady heights of the third tier. Still I'll keep singing in the Ealing for my part...

I went on Saturday with an MK mate and his two kids and at the last minute decided to sit with them upstairs in Brook Road. If there was noise in the other parts of the ground it wasn't heard where I was sitting. There looked to be a decent turnout on Ealing Road and the ground does look more impressive now, not difficult grant you, but there was nothing from the Paddock and New Road was sparse. Still looked more than 4,400 to me, are the club up to their old tricks again?

MA was fierce on feeding positive vibes to the fans always and it worked without a doubt in all respects. I just don't read many rallying calls for us Bees fans in the media, just stories about us being skint and licking our wounds.

Well,

Why not ask PG to invite opposing fans to attempt to take the Ealing Road before the game?

They could run full length of the pitch and be pelted with cold hard burgers, and soaked by plastic bottles with the tops off containing whatever is most unsavoury, fans own or the warm fizzy orange.

Those that get in amongst it and survive 5 minutes get a full refund and are then given the opportunity to meet a legend, i.e. sat next to an old Hounslow Mental in BFC's club class seating, AKA The Paddock.

Plenty of entertainment, lots of atmosphere and guaranteed to get the singing going again, well maybe with the exception of some in the Bill Axbey but they're still moaning at that clown Nelson who let the ball through his hands yet again Saturday!

Approx 75 more Aldershot at Oxford than Bees at Wycombe :computer: For a "big" game at 3pm on a Saturday against our Sky game at stupid o'clock on a Sunday. Hardly massive.

Also; thought Ealing road sounded good early doors on Saturday. When the Paddock "arms out army" and new roaders join i (once on Saturday), we sound positively menacing.

I can understand that at the moment we are in league two and there isnt much to sing about, but like many of out we are die hard Brentford fans, no matter what league we are in i will turn up week after week, and cheer the Super Bees on!
Come on lads lets just get behind are young team and give them a boost!

The Ealing Road has too many groups, divided by those who just dont want to sing.

All the singers should congregate immediately behind the goal, a few knees up Muvas Browns, all sining the same song (how many times do the left side sing one song, the rightside another and the middle a third).

As for the Paddock, it used to be for the old skool, but the atmposphere died when the club tried to make it a family enclosure

Ealing Rd sounds loud enough to me, but then you've all congregated towards the back, behind me.
We did remark on Sat that it looked like a poor gate, then everybody turned up from 2.50pm onwards. Now this has happened before, & maybe due to a number of possible reasons - no pre-match "entertainment"; poor catering within the ground/adverse effect of a Pub on each corner; weather; absence of an air of anticipation/excitement. That's just off the top of my head & obviously BFC can't do much about crowd lethargy caused by the heat (every Home game so far?).
Winning/entertaining football should generate the atmosphere we all seek, but if we all turn up just before KO & the team start the game slowly, then the singing never really gets going.

However, they can do something about the "pre-match experience". Under MA we would turn up 10mins earlier to see what on earth the players were doing in the warm-up. (Yes, the crowds were larger & league position better, but we were still in place earlier and it allowed time for the atmosphere to build). The music was often "themed", provoking comment, & built to a climax with 'Hey Jude'.

At the moment we just have Busbee wandering around - could he not be more of an entertainer/character like some other mascots? What happened to that pair in Superhero costumes? They certainly got the crowd united -against them! For the more mature supporter, why not a Cheerleader or 3? (I'm talking Dallas Cowgirls here, not teenyboppers.) It just all needs jazzing up a bit, & with some thought the crowd can be the extra man again, right from the Kick Off.

As a New Roader, I could never hear much from either Brook Road or the Paddock whereas Ealing Road seems quite loud so i guess I'm that I'm getting what the Paddock used to get. With the way the ground is laid out, the Paddock seems a bit isolated now - perhaps you should all migrate to the New Road towards Ealing Road.
