Pinault

Peanut

I thought he played well again yesterday and I'd like to see us keep him

Pinault

We don't like Brentford players who play a passing game, they should all be booed!

Bring on the guys who run 50 yards to kick someone and show fight, that'd get us upto the championship :sorted:

Pinault

If we can pay him from August to late September and them April until the end of the season then maybe. Doubt he'd go for it though. I'm disappointed that any of our fans have fallen for this late season form, it's one thing doing it now but how was he playing when we went unbeaten for God knows how long? If Brooker has a couple of decent games now does that mean he's not worth trying to get rid of in the summer?

Pinault

My worry is that he scores a goal when the sun is out and we all go gooey eyed. He's sh*te and we don't need anothr fairweather Brooker here.:nono:

Pinault

He was generally pretty good yesterday NB, reminded me of Blackpool at home but it really doesn't make up for what came before

Pinault

Be fair to him Fitz has had him on the bench for months. I think he's got some talent. Which is more than can be said for his other colleagues in midfield.

Pinault

Can't see how people can accuse him of hiding during the cold months of the season and only showing up in fair weather. If you look at the fixtures/appearances he only started six games from since after Rotherham (A) in Oct until he was recalled against Cheltenham the other week and one of those was against Forest in the Paint Pot Cup. How many of the others were almost ever present in that time ?

Pinault

Showed some nice touches and took his goal well but the 4th goal was down to him trying to much when all he needed to do was but it back in the box.

Pinault

A great goal for the Frenchman.....where was that invention and skill earlier in the season ?

Pinault

He's absolute rubbish. He has this annoying habit of passing the ball to other Brentford players when he should be hoofing the ball anywhere. Mousinho, on the other hand is brilliant, because he tries hard.

Pinault

i think thomas has woken up to the fact
that his career is on the line.

he needs to be paired with better holding players than moushino
and leary though for his creativity to be effective at brentford.

Pinault

He's woken up to the fact we that the time to scrap is over and he can freely try his tricks and flicks without worrying about the consequences if they don't come off. I really can't believe people are falling for it

Exactly.

i didn't mean to imply he should be offered a new contract.
his fitful talents certainly aren't appropriate to our circumstances

I couldn't face going yesterday even though I am CURRENTLY a season ticket holder, it did not seem worth the near 50 mile round trip to watch the rubbish that has been dished out lately,

DID I MISS ANYTHING?

You missed a great game.....not worth sitting through all the home dross we have had to endure though !

Pinault

I think Lewis could have done a good job for us this seaso: a very limited player, but one who deos the basics, which we have often lacked

MA won't even play him. The reason he didn't play much last year was because his fitness was shot and he was incapable of keeping up with the pace of the game.

Pinault

OK. But I would still have driven home angry and pissed off that they had thrown a 2 Goal lead away.

Pinault

pinault has barely played in our recent run of bad games. IMHO he really hasnt been any worse than any of the others and has certainly done more than the likes of o'connor and leary this season.

he can physically pass a ball and then moves into space and asks for it back. this is frankly an improvement on the other dross.

Pinault

A difficult one. He's certainly not been a success, but Pinault, along with Kuffour and Ide, has provided the few moments of quality we've soon on the pitch this season. True, it was not consistently enough, but then again he was missing for large chunks, and those who replaced him did not do a lot better. I thought Pinault was one of our better players early in the season, but went missing when our luck started running out. Maybe if he has anyone other than Oli, who hid even more, alongside him we may have had something approaching a midfield. You can hardly blame Thomas for suddenly playing well with contract talk time approaching though. Do we want him to play crap so we can say 'told you so'? The question is, what will get us out of League Two - a couple of cloggers in the middle or a clogger alongside someone who has the quality to unlock defences? Frankly, the mere thought of as Mousinho/Leary mifield is depressing, fair play to Pinault for providing some of few bearable moments in recent weeks. But new contract? Too little too late perhaps.

Pinault

According to markbfc he's lined up with Gretna already anyway - does anyone know if that is speculation or fact ?

Pinault

Pinault is not exactly old and with the right manager and a good holding midfielder next to him he could be very valuable to us.

I guess most people have their opinions about him despite him not playing lots since November\December time. He's the best of the bunch in midfield I reakon. How people can say he's let us down during the winter months when he's not played is just crazy.

Personally I think he's worth holding onto, could turn out to be a good player for us.

Pinault

Pinault and Griffiths are class but some people don't realise their skill

Pinault

Griffiths is heading back to Aus any day. The real weakness this year was the midfield, KOC and Frampton

Pinault

We should start next season with as few of the current players as possible. We need fresh young faces who are hungry for success and a few older heads who deperately want to win every time they cross the white line and will lead on the pitch.

Can you imagine Talbot and Hargreaves allowing players around them to put in the performances we have seen week after week this season?

Instead we have Mousinho who is still learning andonly in the side thanks to that money grabbing puffin munching **** and Leary who is on-loan and Pinault who, for all the fancy footwork, is weak in both the tackle and strength of character - did he not prove this by pulling off one of our goals of the season when there was finally no pressure on him to perform?

GOODBYE THOMAS

Pinault

Pinault and Griffiths are class but some people don't realise their skill

Griffiths cost us a goal nearly every game he played, due to his poor concentration levels. Go study the goals we conceded this year and come back and still admit Griffiths is class.
Pinault is one of those players that looks better than he actually is, his little deft chips over the top to who exactly, oh yes the opposition. We are constantly overun by midfield players when he plays in the side. He never get beyond the forwards on any runs and apart from one or two strikes this season rarely gets into shooting positions.

:imwith: griffiths is a defender who has been outjumped and outplayed by nearly every forward we have played he has made crap forwards look good!
I still believe Pinault is good creative wise but needs to be in a better team!

I heard the Gretna link too at the Forest game, apparently signed a pre-contract agreement on something in January?

I'd even fancy Willock's chances if he came up against Griffiths.

GOODBYE THOMAS

Talbot and Hairman were quality. Pinault is a good footballer, he's by no means a strong tackler but he does pressure the ball and he does keep posession better than any of our other midfielders.

it is difficult to score a goal (good or otherwise) when you are not in the team.

i won;t cry if he goes in the summer but i don't understand why he was frozen out of the team for so long when he has provided some of the only skill and ability that we have seen this season.

Pinault

my theory: he is a summer/autumn/spring player not one for the bleak mid winter?

now the sun is out so is he.

Lets offer him a 6 month contract then....ending in November.....

Pinault

No. lets just let him go!

This has been the worst team in the history of the club, we need to get rid of every last player we possibly can and give TB the opportunity of totally building his own team.

If pinault was our best player and had signed a pre contract with gretnor then the lynch mob would be after him for lack of loyalty etc etc. Because he is crap nobody really cares.

We need to start again forgetting all of the plop we had to watch this year, current players out of contract should not be considered for new contracts..end of!

He'll love Gretna then, think Grimsby without the smell of fish

Pinault

if he really is going to gretna as some people are saying then what is the point of this thread?

Pinault

the thread was started in March, by Pinault's agent, in order to raise his profile and secure his move to the SPL with Gretna...

Correction. Pinault is not one of my clients, I'm just in love with him.:D :D :D

BTW Pinault was part of a very good Colchester side that came very close to promotion a couple of years back. I've said all along that he needs good players alongside of him as any player with his class will always show his worth.

I think he would work well alongside a Hutch type player that did all the dirty work.

I see your point however...

(1) Colchester were more successful after he left
(2) He won't have any better players next season if he stays at BFC. In fact next years players are likely to be less experienced and more untested than this years. He needs to raise his own games, as he has done for the last 5-6 games....

Pinault

He shows touches of skill but isn't really the full package

Pinault

I hope Pinault goes in the summer, He flatters to decieve.

He's held in only a slightly higher regard than Oli Skulason, Callum Willock, Griffiths, Tillen, Brooker etc in my books after some his effort this season.
