Today is the kick up the arse the boys need
Shocking result BUT:
1) Tranmere, Blades and Doncaster all lost. With luck Swineden will as well.
2) The other cup heroes - the MKdon franchise and Oldham - also lost badly, may not be coincidence.
3) A good thumping a few weeks back didn't do Tranny any harm - may have concentrated the minds.
4) It was/is always going to hard pushing for promotion with a team of youngsters. They lack the mental as well as physical resilience.
5) The team could put aside the Tranmere defeat at GP because it could have gone either way. The O's match, they could blame the sending off. Nowhere to hide today. May help them regroup. Reality check.
6) Second place flattered us a bit and supporters, club and players let it go the head. Let's concentrate on the stated objective for the season, which was making the playoffs.
7) We haven't become a bad team overnight. Tired, distracted, over cocky yes. Let's hope Uwe and Warbs have the experience to address all that.
COYR
Next 3 games are at home I believe. 9 points would probably see us right back up there.
I might not be either. I can't tell you. Well, not on this thread anyway. On this thread one would say something like, "Great save by Simon Moore towards the end to keep the score at three. Goal difference could be vital at the end of the season. That could be the save that gets us promoted :yes:Maybe, but the last three home league games have yielded a grand total of two points. Consequently I'am not over optimistic.
.Lots of fans will see Brentford play away for the first time ever next week. lol
Daffs are coming thru
