Cycled down to GP today to collect Portsmouth tickets. Nice warm weather, I reckon Saturday will be a shorts and t-shirt day with sunglasses necessary in ER. After winning at Crewe the sun will be shining on us until the end of the season.

We have been given what is now a huge advantage knowing exactly what we need to do when we play Hartlepool after the other games on Saturday.
Also Carlisle are unbeaten in their last 6 games so Muff who will be under pressure to win as a draw could probably not be enough will not find it easy.

Excellent news that Craig and CD are suspended!!!

Firstly it makes sure we won't go into the Hartlepool game in a complacent state of mind, as we might have done had we had a full squad at our disposal.
Secondly the injustices of the Sheff Utd game will give the team (and us) a closing the ranks, backs to the wall, let's come out fighting mentality that we otherwise wouldn't have had.
Thirdly CD comes back nicely rested for the Donny game.
Fourthly my dream of 10,000 Bees singing "He's one of our own, He's one of our owwwwwwn, Kevin O'Connor, He's one of our own!!!!" as King Kev lifts the title gets more likely!!!

It's what you might call a win, win, win, win situation!!!!

This is where we really reap the benefits of UR's rotation policy (aka tinkering). Instead of having to introduce players who haven't played at a competitive level for weeks and would come into the team cold, we have a squad of adaptable, multi-talented players who can fit easily into the formation in any of several possible roles and will be instantly attuned to the team's playing style - Hodson at full-back or wing-back, for instance, or Adeyemi in central defence - plus of course jack-of-all-trades O'Connor and Al Alagui just back from injury and raring to go. I'm confident that whatever line-up Rösler puts out will perform to the high standards we've become accustomed to.
