Four points clear (worth five with our goal difference) of fourth place with a game in hand.
Oppo only have four games left to catch us: Exeter (fourth) and Rochdale (fifth) both play other top teams romorrow.
Remember Corporal Jones - we'll be much better tomorrow with a sold-out away following than at fearful GP - and enjoy.

We outplayed one of our 4 automatic promotion rivals without Bean, O'Connor and Wood - the heart of the midfield that has got us to the top of the league.

9 points for promotion, thats if all our rivals get max points. Its looking good. :D

we matched and dominated against one of the form teams in the league without key players.
we will win the next two games and be fine.
teams around us still have to play each other.

Yesterday was our last match against a team in the promotion mix (if you discount D&R). After a really tough run of games our run in is, on paper, now easier than any of the others around us.

Girlfriends unbeaten Bees record this season continues.....12 games, no defeats.....going to all but one of the remaining games.........So that's a minimum of 4 pts which may be enough!!!

....................Darlington this Saturday..........................

Positive Posts Only

At 10pm last night it felt like after the no-shows against Crewe and Stoke at Wembley. This morning the sun's shining and, unlike those games, we get a second (and, if needed, third) chance... our destiny is still completely in our own hands. Maximum of one point needed for promotion (from a home game against the bottom club). Would you swap places with anyone else in our division? Wycombe are away this Saturday too; they don't get a 3 point walkover. As I said in another thread, witnessing a Championship is a 2 or 3 times in a lifetime experience, you don't just get one at Tescos. Supporters support when times are hard, it's a two-way contract. Get over last night and get to Darlo because the Bees are going up there

Well said mate.

Losing a game is bad enough, but coming on here and reading the suicide brigades nonsense with a hangover is almost as bad.

That was my 400th Brentford away game last night.
Just hope the 401st on Saturday is the one where we get that promotion
Been to Darlington three times before:
December 77, we won 3-1
October 85, we won 5-3 &
April 99, we drew 2-2. :sorted:

Completely agree, need to turn out in force on Sat. Yes Wycombe have the easier run in but its still in our hands. Got to keep the faith forget last night clear our heads and get back to winning ways at Darlo

All is still well. How many people like me spent the last few weeks filling in the league calculator and -just to be safe-put in a couple of lost games against apparent easy teams just to see if we still finished top. I did. and we do still finish top.

Darlington it is.
