Predictions v Everton (A)

I’m going to wait until I’ve seen them play against Forest tomorrow before I make a proper prediction, but my initial thoughts are that they are going to play exactly like they did against Chelsea; where they started the game playing at 90 miles an hour and bombarded the penalty from their wide players and if it doesn’t work they discover that they haven’t got a Plan B.

Predictions v Everton (A)

..............easy does it..............1-1................

Predictions v Everton (A)

I’ve gone for narrow win. Obviously Beto will be out and the double barrelled striker so think they will struggle to score. I’ll go for 2-0 to the good guys!!!!

Predictions v Everton (A)

2 bees think we will get battered . Hilarious

Predictions v Everton (A)

I was all for 0-0 but now think we will definitely score. Can our defence cope with Beto and DCL? I think so, so 0-1 for me unless they nick a lucky equaliser. A non-defeat in any event.

Sadly, I didn’t manage to watch as much of the game as originally planned, but have come to the conclusion that we ain’t gonna get a penalty at Goodison Park and we need to be alert to shots from outside the box. After a great confidence building win yesterday we can go there and play 4-3-3 and take the game to them. We will get chances against them, but we can’t get cocky about it. It’ll be exactly as Thomas always says; we go there “confident, but humble” knowing we can win against any team.

It will always help if they pick up the odd red card on Wednesday against Liverpool and them having to play an extra game this week, too, but I’m certainly looking forward to my trip to Merseyside next weekend.

Listening to podcast with 2 Scousers discussing the Forest game:

"When had been the last time we scored from what you might call a move?"

Turned out to be 6 games before.

Also looking forward to this: 3-0 to us.

Predictions v Everton (A)

1-3 Wissa mbuemo KLP
a dilemma though does IT play though even if he’s fit. He needs some game time before the end of the season to remind everyone he’s still there and keep his transfer fee as high as possible

Predictions v Everton (A)

They aren't very good up front but pretty good defensively so 1-1 for me

Jarred Branthwaite is a decent defender and i would take him tomorrow.
We saw Ashley Young off the pace and young Mykolenko is struggling for form.
Tarky we know all about.
Get in amongst them saturday with a bit of pace and we can turn them around.

Brentford win 3-1

They've got a good CB pairing but weak down the side. 433 using our pace should open them up. I thought Everton played well at our place but that flattered them so I think we can sneak this one.

Predictions v Everton (A)

Their midfield outmuscled and outplayed ours back in September, so hopefully we can nullify them this time around.

Ashley Young is not young, so I would like to see us try to expose him. We’ve got enough pace in our side to do just that.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is fragile, so he can take it easy in Ethan Pinnock’s pocket.

Ivan Toney (if fit) can bully both Jarrad Branthewaite and James Tarkowski.

Everton 1 Brentford 3.

Predictions v Everton (A)

2-0 Bees (Bryan and Wissa), finally giving us mathematical safety from relegation (albeit a point would do, if Luton fail to win at Wolves earlier in the day).

Predictions v Everton (A)

They would have played 2 games since we last did and would be knackered from tomorrow nights game.

3-0 Brentford.

Predictions v Everton (A)

Score draw written all over this one.

2-2

Damsgaard, Wissa

Predictions v Everton (A)

Pent up frustration in our side and loads of fresh legs and energy. Everton are going to get what's coming to them. 0-3, hopefully Pickford will look a tw*t again. We will strong on Saturday and they will be knackered from the extra game tonight

Predictions v Everton (A)

Take the game to them, orrible bar stewards. Their crowd is a noisy one but let's smash em and another goal fest from the best. You Redsssss??

Predictions v Everton (A)

They'll limp into this game with 3 games in 6 days and injuries no doubt. I go 3-1 Brentford and will be there cheering them on.

Predictions v Everton (A)

3-0 to us, we looked the complete package last Saturday, no need to change the team just let Toney onto the bench if fit.

Predictions v Everton (A)

Maupay will invite himself into the Everton dressing room and fill Pickfords drink bottle with Neal juice.
Everton 0-Bees 3 Pickford 3ogs.
Maupee?

I thought I’d re-visit our match at Goodison last season as the only real memories I have (really the only ones I choose to remember) was that it was a horrible day, both weather-wise (it was very cold & wet) and I saw some pretty awful football. But looking at the stats and lineup we should have done much better. It was a match where we went 1-0 down inside 35 seconds(!) and it didn’t get much better after that with our defence struggling to make passes between themselves for the first half hour and Everton playing their usual game of physical defending (in typical Dyche fashion) and getting the ball out wide to McNeill and others and having Pickford, of course, to help out when their defence messed up.

Curiously, looking at the stats, Damsgaard started that game as well as our usual midfield (e.g. Jenson/Norgaard/Janelt) and Schade & Wissa came on as subs.

This time around I am hoping for a much better day out; the weather forecast is currently showing a temperature of 12 degrees around kickoff time with very small chance of rain and after last Saturday’s fantastic performance by the team (albeit against a very ‘confused’ Luton side) I am looking forward to see us play in a similar fashion knowing that we will have a much stronger lineup with our fringe players doing well and for Ivan to show the world what we’ve been missing. Whether he starts or not he will be itching to give notice to Gareth Southgate and his future employers what he is capable of.

Can’t wait!!

Huge fan of Ivan, dislike the refuse to play for us Tarky. However I don't think Ivan has got the better of Tarky in all the games they have matched up.

Predictions v Everton (A)

0-2 Bees. They will be too tired after tonight’s win and customary celebrations

Predictions v Everton (A)

Both Tarkowski and Calvert-Lewin played very well tonight. I think it's going to be a tough game for us and I could see it being a 1-0 or 2-0 for Everton if Toney plays - that's because they are good defensively, especially against bigger centre-forwards.. Hope that I'm wrong: if we play the same three up front as we did the other day, their mobility could create problems from the Blues.

Predictions v Everton (A)

Even more chance of us getting a win after tonight.

Predictions v Everton (A)

Tarkowski and Branthwaite looked good tonight and like to see us start with nippy, little front three like we did against big, strong, physical Luton defence

Predictions v Everton (A)

Brentford to win a close 2 - 1. We have the game on TV, don't get to many Brentford games. So to make my day they'll crank a win out.

Predictions v Everton (A)

They look pretty strong at home. They just shut out Liverpool and beat NOTTS Forest.
I’m going score draw but let’s see.

I think they will have expended an extraordinary amount of effort and emotional intensity in the derby game. Playing them 72hrs after that is probably perfect. I reckon we could follow up the performance against Atwell’s team with another dominant attacking display
