Agreed. One of my all time favourite Bees.![]()
Just something about him, oozed class.Remember when we invested in promising young players who would shine and develop with us and then we could sell then on at a profit - Bob Taylor, Nicky Forster, Sam Sodje DJ, Michael Turner.......
Taylor by joining Man City finished him... wierd
Never had the pace for a higher level.
Easy to say with hindsight, but you have no idea which of the "promising young players" we are currently investing in will "shine and develop with us and be sold on at a profit."Remember when we invested in promising young players who would shine and develop with us and then we could sell then on at a profit - Bob Taylor, Nicky Forster, Sam Sodje DJ, Michael Turner.......

Teddy Sheringham had no more pace than Taylor. As markbfc says, it was injuries that curtailed Robert Taylor's career.

No - but you said it was Taylor's lack of pace that held him back and I disagree, citing Sheringham as an example of a player whose lack of pace didn't hold him back.Robert Taylor wasn't Teddy Sheringham.

According to soccerbase we sold him for £1/2million. Is this right?
Is he from Norwich?
Has been appointed manager of Diss Town.
Has been appointed manager of Diss Town.
"Diss Town -becoming like a ghost town",
Never forget his goal in the 6-0 win vs Cambridge in 1995. What judgement and skill.

One of my all-time favourite players.

Forgetting his last season of course..![]()
Hes just been called into the chairman's office and given the sack. He was told 'Diss Town ain't big enough for the both of us'
Great player, but I still don't know to this day how he missed from within the 6 yard box at Huddersfield in the play off's.
