There wasn't much that would stop Ron getting to footy especially to watch Brentford. The last ever game he was at was Brentford v Oldham in late 2013 and he shouldn't of really gone to the game as a district nurse was coming to see him at home but i think we would all agree that the best medicine for Ron was watching his beloved Brentford play.
Over six years now that Ron sadly passed away but I bet he is looking down on Griffin Park with that cheeky smile on his face enjoying how well his team are doing this season.
Can't believe that, Ron always seemed such calm friendly chap.myself joebee and Ron went to a friendly at Bromley , and Ron was kicking off because he either couldnt get a badge or a pint, or both lol

Carlisle , weirdly i remember no maoning about TAPS etc for that one![]()

Such a shame he passed before our upward trend, culminating in the Premier league. He would have loved it, and just reward for his long-suffering loyalty! He would have loved today. Shine on, Ronnie Jacobs.
Not too sure he would describe it as long suffering loyalty as he once told me he loves every minute of it.Such a shame he passed before our upward trend, culminating in the Premier league. He would have loved it, and just reward for his long-suffering loyalty!
