Apparently he has been off "sick" for the past week. But when PJ asked his new best mate Eddie Rogers about it on Saturday, all the Chairman could reply was "no comment", rather than telling us the nature of his illness.

The one thing that we have been told is of the substantial costs over budget in the Princess Royal renovations.Whatever the story this lands right in the laps of Messrs Finch (primarily) and King (secondarily). Even given the extraordinary overruns King was being showered with praise and thanks from an adoring Finch with his vomit inducing "Roy's down the pub" comment that he actually put in a proggy and in turn Rogers was hosing Finch down with superlatives at the Stripes forum. You can only bang your head against a wall in sheer mindnumbing frustration can't you. Finch's inexperience positively shines through in everything that he touches. The reality is that if the BFC cashflow hadn't been shot to hell by the time the Princess Royal invoices pitched up on Callen's desk then they would probably have just been paid, any rumours regarding cost overruns would have been dismissed by Rogers as illinformed gossip and King would have continued to receive the grateful thanks of Finch and the BFC board.

I believe there would be a number of senarios that would lead to such a situation - not just the employer turning around and saying "here's £x - please leave".
