Apparently he has been off "sick" for the past week. But when PJ asked his new best mate Eddie Rogers about it on Saturday, all the Chairman could reply was "no comment", rather than telling us the nature of his illness.

Get well soon Roy. :fishing:

Get Well soon Roy, hope its something really serious....

PJ and Eddie sitting in a tree.....

Both he and Mr Finch were off sick last week - maybe they went to a clinic to get the stains on their tongues removed.

Has he got lost looking for the paperwork on the Princess Royal?

The one thing that we have been told is of the substantial costs over budget in the Princess Royal renovations.Whatever the story this lands right in the laps of Messrs Finch (primarily) and King (secondarily). Even given the extraordinary overruns King was being showered with praise and thanks from an adoring Finch with his vomit inducing "Roy's down the pub" comment that he actually put in a proggy and in turn Rogers was hosing Finch down with superlatives at the Stripes forum. You can only bang your head against a wall in sheer mindnumbing frustration can't you. Finch's inexperience positively shines through in everything that he touches. The reality is that if the BFC cashflow hadn't been shot to hell by the time the Princess Royal invoices pitched up on Callen's desk then they would probably have just been paid, any rumours regarding cost overruns would have been dismissed by Rogers as illinformed gossip and King would have continued to receive the grateful thanks of Finch and the BFC board.

Hopefully one of the targets set for the CEO is to put forward an acceptable plan to reduce administrative costs, and then put it in action.

One can but hope!

He has a poorly foot. Allegedly.
He was well enough to attend Stripes on Thursday evening I hear.

He's also turned up at worked previously in plaster (I hear) - so he's not one for taking days off work.

The most telling in all of this is Eddie's "no comment" - that tells us that, without doubt, something is afoot (no pun intended)

ER probably said "no comment" because he has no idea what is going on........ as usual!

Well there's an interesting thread from Dave Lane on the beesotted site:

"There are some serious misconduct rumours regarding a senior club employee starting to circulate. If they are true BFC should throw them book at them."

I'm sure that Mr Larry Signy would worm the "true facts" out of the BFC board if only he could get in to interview them.........

D'ya reckon that all of their mobiles are switched off again......... lol

If these rumours are true this is fantastic news for Roy King, as he will get a nice pay off as is customary at BFC. ;)

Presumably, if the rumours are true, he will be dismissed so will not get anything, whereas JM was offered a deal to leave. It's totally different!

That would be my assumption given that he was paid off. People aren't generally paid off if they resign of their own accord

I believe there would be a number of senarios that would lead to such a situation - not just the employer turning around and saying "here's £x - please leave".

But we were told that Rogers and Finch were broken hearted and the word from the BFC boardroom was that Herting and White agreed to stand wallet to wallet.....(sorry that should read shoulder to shoulder) with McGlashan on a "If you go we go Johnny baby........" basis....... lol

So who offered the deal and why........(I know but I wanna see if you're prepared to put it on here....... )

By the way we still haven't had the Rogers eulogy to McGlashan that Finch promised us would be in the programme following Finch's breast beating over McGlashan's "resignation".........can't think why......... ;)

Mark's old job is now being done on a parttime basis by a student during her gap year. So you have to add on the £35 per week she is getting.

That's where you went wrong young Chappers - should have been like JMc and SC both effectvely booted out of previous jobs via voluntary redundancy (or on gardening leave) with no income coming in - ended up okay out of BFC haven't they ! :mad1:
