great news! good to see the board backing their man... seems as though AS has their confidence, and it seems as though he knows what he is doing. i wait and see who else he brings in though. we certainly will need replacements after all this dead wood has gone

does anyone else reeeeally hate it when people write FACT?

I'll take 'better' over 'bigger' any day! ;)

Great news!!!!

I have to say 'Sorry, Hilly', as imo RD's a really good prospect with the right attitude. Good to know that that's backed up by Penney's clear interest as I believe he's a good manager.

To be honest, I think Penney was resigned to losing him from the start after he made it clear that he wasn't sure whether he could move so far away from his family. It's a constant battle living 'oop North having to live off the cast offs of the so called 'Big 3' which when you look at their current state, doesn't look good!

You were on a loser on this one bearing in mind he was starting out from the south west as well.

This is wonderful news, and Andy Scott has got his managerial career off to a flier. Now, if we could just get three points tomorrow .......

The "big 3" are Jossie's Giants, Blyth Spartans and Hartlepool I presume, perhaps you should try the giants in the Prem. I wish you well but hated the way your team bullied us earlier this season. We were wimps up against men with "Hardman Butcher" as our manager. You did a good job on us but we are a different outfit now and our next game will be closer, it's good to hear from a real fan from an away team on here so keep in touch and I'll let you buy me a beer when we next meet.:sorted:

Will you be the tiny midget with your arms folded and a rose between your teeth? It's a date. :)

We're very effective away from home, I wouldn't call it sitting back and hitting on the counter attack, but we just bide our time and take our chances when they come. It worked well against Rotherham this season, and since then it's held us in good stead.

What's the general opinion on your chances for the rest of this season then? Last spot in the play-offs?

WELCOME Ryan, you've made the right decision. Well done Andy Scott and thanks to the board, all in all a F*****g good day..

great signing. good to see one player wanting to join BFC.

a few more to come hopefully

It's not that often a player like Dickson becomes so readily available and futhermore has fitted in for us so well. I'm sure AS would love to keep him but as usual the board don't "appear" to supporting Andy, I hope i'm wrong but suspect i'm not.

If the "NEW" guys on the board really want to make a difference it's time to p*** or get off the pot !

Interesting variety of views.

How much was the undisclosed fee out of interest?
10,20 or 50P:D
maybe even a quid.

well done to all concerned.
Up the Bees

Martin who???????????????;)

This is absolutely brilliant news. Ryan is a proper footballer- good motor, committed, can pass a ball, and (rarely for someone at our level) has a footballing brain. He could very easily operate at League 1 level and should be a Championship player in a season or two. This was a very, very good get. I hope that Plymouth accepted £10,000 and no sell-on fee!

good news hopefully he keeps going with his performances

does anyone know anymore transfer gossip because this came all out of the blue   :sneakoff: :sneakoff:

This week's activity has been a big boost to the credibility of AS in the hot seat. Long may it continue.

I'll go along with that. Good signing and well done to AS for persuading him that Brentford is the right place to develop his career.

Who knows what the future holds but things are definitely looking better.

Glad we got Dickson rather than that to$$pot whose now at Lincoln.

Quality signing! This lad has the lot, I don't think I've ever seen him beaten by a winger yet.

20/1 on Bet365. Although what do they know, they have Charlie Ide at 8/1 and Emile Sinclair at 17/2 !

rofl last time Obenjayo was fourth best odds for Bees first scorer

He is exactly the sort of player we should be signing, young with talent and an ability to be an established first team player and/or be sold on for a decent fee if needs must.

There has been a question mark over his injury record in the past but there is no reason why that shouldn't be behind him now.

I still wonder why Plymouth have let him go but we have seen enough of him to know the risk seems minimal.

A decent number of players like him based around a core of experienced players should be our team profile.

have heard that plymouth need the wage budget decreased so that they can get more players in so they are getting rid of there fringe players or rotation players
