I'd play Wood tonight instead of Saunders if he's injured. The only other change I'd make is Hamer for Lee, as we'd been doing the opposite in this competition when Hamer was our league first choice.

No way! If there is a chance it could go to penalties we want Lee in goal. Apart from that I am curious to see what new Saunders is playing like, so if he is fit he should start. Otherwise its a close one between Wood/Simpson, although if Weston is near fit it would be good to see him tearing up the full back Francis again.

Probably not being able to train due to the weather hasn't helped, training in a gym or indoors isn't the same as getting on a pitch in small sided games working the hamstrings, twisting, turning, short sprints etc I think the Yeovil match Saturday will be his target, Monday probably too soon still.

he has gone to the training ground today for more physio so that indicates to me its going to be a while off yet.shame for him as he has been a constant fixture on the sidelines since he came here and when hes fit he will be back to square one again trying to get in the team

Going by that great new thing called 'tw*tter', Sam was having more physio on his injury yesterday, so I would have thought peterboro' was out and maybe Exeter on Friday was his earliest option, but whenever he's fit, will AS drop players to accommodate him? For those few games he played in, we looked much better.

Just looked back over the fixtures. Sam last played at Southampton away 11th December. One won one game since. First start appears to be Plymouth away. Played three away games and won all three. Coincidence?
