Will he actually re-make the squad or will he be straight out again?
Will he actually re-make the squad or will he be straight out again?
Perhaps this might help to confirm why .........
First, he passed to an under pressure Valentine who had no choice but to pass straight back to Brown whose clearance hit Bournemouth's Brett Pitman in the head and the striker fell to the ground.
Everyone gets a second chance in the SmiffyBee book of Bees players.
He'll be like a new signing, warming that bench on Saturday.....good experienced keeper in case we need him...(unlikely of course as cool headed Ben Hamer won't get sent off again)
Perhaps Reading have sold Hamer?
So, if I interpret your post correctly, everyone apart from Ben Hamer gets a second chance (apart from Simon Brown who gets lots of second chances).![]()
Sincil Bank was where his second chances ran out as far as I'm concerned but I can't imagine him being booed until he chucks another one into his own net.
I think you underestimate some of the ealing road faithful who were calling last season's second top scorer all sorts of names before christmas and he was having a mare for the oppo !
It was a good New Year until I read this - can't we give him away?
Unlikely, would you take him for nothing?
Not bloody likely - but I was hoping some mug of a club would - this has to be the most depressing part of BFC this year so far. Let's pay him off as he is totally useless:sad:

it's not the totally useless part that annoys me, he can do a job, it's the fact that he will be one of our very top earners sitting on the bench playing thumb wars with Glenn Poole that frustrates me![]()

He cannot do a job for us - he is useless, and only recently a Darlington supporter was on our GPG site saying how wonderful he was - so why aren't they extending his loan?![]()

Brown was always coming back to Bees in January so why is everyone so shocked?Hopefully another loan deal will be sorted for the rest of the season and Brown will be released in the summer.

Really - well let's hope he is not needed to play this season:sad:He was always coming back, so why the big deal. He is under contract so we have to get on with it. If he does not get loaned out again then he will make a good back up to Hamer. Despite his short comings I would prefer to have him on the bench than any other we have.
We are shocked because there was so much confusion as to whether this was a half season loan or full season loan. As usual the BFC os site is performing way below par as to information given.I don't think I will subscibe to it again next season as I am fed up of pathetically poor info being given out by an official site when that site should be foremost in information given.![]()

It quite clearly states it was a half season loan when announced on 2 August 2008, even giving the date of return.
There are none so blind that don't want to see...

Am glad you agree with the clever comment about "none so blind", but although my subscription to the BFC OS site is automatically renewed each season in July by direct debit, I was not able to access the site for the most of August due to an error by BFC's bank who thought they had not received my yearly subscription, but indeed had. Therefore, did not see the communication dated 2/8/08. Doesn't alter the fact that no doubt you will be amonst those that complain when Simon Brown has to go in goal for us for some reason and makes his usual mess-up of it![]()

He is back and he is a Brentford player. He has played very well at Darlo and if he stays at least we have good experienced cover should Hamer get injured. I find it hard to believe the over the top "pops" at him. He made some mistakes last season, who didn't?. A lot of folk wanted Kev out a while ago and he has been outstanding. Ditto Marcus Bean, Elder, Bennett last year.

Need i go on
Very disappointed Darlo haven't kept him (for good!). I guess we all knew that after half a season, his shortcomings would surface despite his (at times) fine shot-stopping. Shame he couldn't command a dog, let alone his box or back four.
Let's hope AS can offload him. Good luck to the bloke, but he is not simply not good enough and never was. (Which I posted at the time we signed him and got slaughtered!).
