The Ireland game was a poor performance, no argument. The players lost the Italy game yesterday, by a couple of brainfart moments and poor discipline in the 2nd half. That's on them, not the coach. The captain said pretty much the same.

Italy aren't the minnows they were 20, even 10 years ago. You have to earn the win. Despite that, England were in the box seat after 55 minutes, but poor discipline lost them the game.

There's no doubt it's been a disappointing 6 nations for England and I'm sure there is a better coach out there - their rugby is boring to watch. But rugby doesn't need the football mentality of 'sack the coach' the moment results don't go their way.

I posted similar about Gregor Townsend yesterday and how the knives were out for him after 60 mins of the Wales game. If he'd been sacked, we wouldn't have seen them smash France yesterday.

Ireland and Scotland now play a very exciting brand of rugby. It's quick handling, running the lines and introducing kicking when required, great to watch.

It's a pity this Ireland team played France first, would like to play them in the next few weeks but four from five is a very respectable campaign for a team in transition. Come on England

Well if Wales keep this up (28-0 now) and France and England play the same way they have the past 3 games,then it's possible.

I can't think of a side like Wales that's gone from being so atrocious to being very competitive in such a short time.

Certainly a lot more entertaining and competitive than the south hemisphere one. Also the games are far more entertaining than watching 11 South African rhinos going at it

Wow, rugby union played like that is a hugely more entertaining game than football. I love the penalty advantage rule. Maybe the footy hierarchy can learn a thing or two to liven football and make it a more entertaining game. eg allow greater attacking advantage by modifying the ridiculous offside laws coupled with VAR which disallow a goal for a hair breadth decision and possibly slightly larger goals. Introduce sin bins? Any other suggestions? I was at the very exciting Burnley game but that's about as exciting as football can get with so many twists and turns but maybe for the wrong reasons.
