Was a very good player in his younger days......at Liverpool suprised they don't get him back given the state of them at the moment........:fishing:

look, he is a professional footballer, I am sure he is capable of playing right wing. We dont need another centre back, we could move spillane back to RW and play wright at RB, wood at CM and me up front.

If he plays right back it would enable spillane to move into midfield, am sure I read somewhere he started as a midfield player... might be interesting :)

Coventry captain last season and looked half decent at Laughapool !
Scott said he wanted cover at right back so he doesnt have to take Osborne or Kevin out of position.
Would be a good signing perhaps.
Hope hes got a captains presence something we lack somewhat !

Stephen Wright at RB, Mickey Spillane moves into CM (Where he began his career), giving us the creative midfielder we are all stiff over? If IIRC I believe Wright to be fairly similar to Woodman.

To repeat - we have no natural cover at right back; Spillane is an international and he's not invincible; it makes perfect sense to look for back-up. We have two keepers of similar standing and cover on the left and centre... OK, we could do with more up front but you need to take opportunities as they arise and my guess is that he'll come cheap to put himself in the shop window (like John Halls!).

Given that either Karleigh or KOC could step in for Spillane, I think we're more short in the creative midfield and goalscoring departments. Anyway, I've read that Wright was considered too slow at Coventry -- did anyone see the reserve game yesterday?

We don't want to move KO as he is playing out of his skin at CB. Kevin is needed in midfield. Lets not look horse mouths in the gift , if we sign another player its all good. :sorted:
