So let's all obey she and assume that the original story is bunkum, we now have to find a replacement keeper and that will cost £x more than the £y that we have available which = £0 because the budget, including emergency loans, is spent.

Only 5759 there today, which is probably 1000 less than we might have expected against Gillingham.

Stuart Nelson

he got injured in training on friday I heard

From what I can piece together.

Nelson was told at the start of training yesterday Masters would be playing today.
At some point during training he left the field with an 'ankle injury', I was at the training ground from 12.15ish yesterday and he wasn't anywhere to be seen then.
It seems a deal for him to go to Swindon on loan was set up, I haven't heard this but TBH if it came from abee it is almost certainly true.
This is where it becomes difficult, I doubt abee is wrong but some are suggesting Nelson is actually injured and therefore couldn't go on loan.
I get the impression Rosenior didn't believe he was injured, set up a loan deal to get him out, and I presume a replacement in.
Now either a deal was set up before and is now off because he is actually injured or Nelson isn't really injured and the deal is either off because of Masters sending off or will go ahead as soon as we can secure a keeper for next week.

Anyone confused

Stuart Nelson

It's just the way he comes across in his interviews.

I've never heard him as anything other than impressive in intervews and the post match conferences posted here are usually spot on.

Why would Swindon take him if he was "injured". And how come Swindon keep on agreeing to take our players when we want to get rid.

:thetruth: :thetruth: :thetruth: Let's get Mike Newell on the case quick smart...

Their Yugoslavian keeper is out all season so they need to replace him. Maybe this 'injury' isnt a serious one.....

Stuart Nelson

broke two bones in his foot at training. As soon as Masters was sent off, Stuart went down to see him to console him. Let's not try to make this situation a whole lot worse than it actually is. We do not need 'supposed' divide rumours without them being true.

Stuart Nelson

So Keeper trials instead of the training day ;)

Stuart Nelson

Saw Nelson in the forecourt after the game.

He said he had an ankle injury and was getting it assessed on Monday and couldn't say if he would be available for the Oldham game until then.

The rumours about the Swindon move and him walking out were also flying about where I sit but he clearly hadn't stormed off so maybe the loan deal bit is also not true.

Best thing I have read on here to be honest. Getting rid of your number 1 keeper out on loan really makes no sense (particualy in Brentford's fiancial position and squad size). If Nelson has thrown his toys out of his pram wouldn't it made sense for him to leave the ground?! Instead he stayed watched the game, and consoled Masters when he got sent off.

Well there you go. Straight from the horses mouth!!

Stuart Nelson

Well he was walking very normally when I saw him...........

i broke my nose once, but could smell BS from 5 yards..... as far as i know Nelson has a foot injury and is unavailable, unless we fancy Seb in at Oldham we'll be getting someone in... can't see red card overturned.

Stuart Nelson

nelson was sat in the stand to the side of the dug out (with a brentford tie on) with lloyd and a couple of other players until masters got sent off then he went staright to the dressing room..

Wonder if he laughed when the "Are you Nelson in disguise" chants came out when Moushino skied one into the New Road.

Bit cruel I guess but it was funny at the time.....

Its not good to speculate unless we know the TRUE facts .. and only Nelson and LR know them.

But looking at what we know ... In yesterdays programme , LR stated along the lines that changes were going to be made and " watch this space " was quoted , he mentioned that Masters and Osborne were worthy of a place.

Nelson as we know , does have a bit of a temper/attitude problem as we have seen on the pitch ( which I dont think is a bad thing at times )

Common knowledge now seems that Nelson was told he was being dropped earlier in the week .. and was possibly not too happy , which I dont think you could blame him as it looks like LR was making him the scapegoat for the bad run of form .. so Nelson may have had a few words with LR and as been told in no certain terms that his punishment for his bad attitude .. he can bugger off down the M4 in his RR Sport for the rest of the season !

However .. what was he doing at the game yesterday ?

If he was ONLY dropped , why was he not on the bench ?

Was he injured ? .. suppose we will have to wait for the post match interview notes ..

Its amazing story this week though .. what with all the Masters v Nelson debate .. Masters red card and all the rumours of a fall out .. nobody could have wrote a better script

Do we have much in the player fund to help pay for a loan keeper?

£6848 according to the BU website....presumably just over £7k if yesterday`s figures are yet to be added

Stuart Nelson

One question. If there was no conspiracy and LR knew that Nelson was injured, why was Brown not on the bench?

Subsidiary question: Would Brown have done as well as Mousinho?

Stuart Nelson

I spoke with someone at the Ground last Thursday, who goes and watches the youth play and he said Seb Brown, is the dogs wotsits.
Rated him VERY highly.
This person saw them beat Yeovil 3-0 recently and said a fair few of the youngsters have a great future in the game.

One of them's Dad, has a VERY flash car. Can't remember which player it was now, but I think his Dad sponsors us in some way and has absolutely loads of money

Stuart Nelson

I've heard differently regarding Brown, and he has looked very poor the few times I've seen him train...but, I shall have to see him in a full match before my opinion is settled.

You don't think that LR would bother to tell the BFC directors the situation as he saw it then......oh right........

....................that must be Martin Allen, sponsoring his son George............or have I missed something along the way?rofl

Stuart Nelson

Please please be true and then make it a permanent deal !

Masters red card should get rescinded.

Rumours that Nelson was warming up then heard he was dropped and just left the ground straight away, other stories are that Nelson was injured and left the game with is mum.

Masters - Brentford No. 1

I don't know whether to laugh or cry....

Stuart Nelson

Where has that Venezuelan gone ?

Stuart Nelson

Nelson's parents are from Cheltenham and i think he has played for Forest Green. So a move to Swindon would suit him.

Stuart Nelson

Just to add to this, Leeds have been given permission to talk to Wise and Poyet.

Any loan deal might be down the pan now if it wasn't already.

Stuart Nelson

If Nelson is sulking all I can say is piss off.

Stuart Nelson

Let's all go down to the training ground on wednesday at 10am in Jersey road (we're all invited)to see who's fit and raring to go.Then we can put this thread to bed.:sorted:

Stuart Nelson

Anyuone know the truth about all this

I just can't believe that Rosenoir would try to ship him out in the manner that has been suggested - if he did we'd be even more likely to go down
