Well really it ain't. Seems to be going backwards as club goes forward . Visited yesterday low on stock is no shorts apart from small and xxl
In the past used to offer a good range of Brentford t shirts both stylish and some humorous but none there. Seem to be a lack of anything
different to when I last there 2 months ago. Also I was told new replica shirts will only be sold short sleeves. Not sure who at club makes decisions
on stock but this should be an area which produces some revenue and gets the bees profile up

As has been documented before, the club have to make decisions on stock of replica kit A LONG time before we get it.
If we were to buy 10,000 shirts and only sell 5,000 we will be left a well out of pocket.
Therefore the club have to project how many would be a good number to purchase that wont leave us with a huge surplus.
Unfortunately they cant keep everyone happy all the time.

I'm not sure what this fella is going on about ..

Was in there today lots of new training gear on sale.

Pre orderd a kids kit ... £72 ? bit steep for something that will just look like training wear.

I went by the other day and there was no sign of the new shirt even in the window. Surely they have a new home and away one they can put out for display purposes to get people interested?

Superstore

Despite the the misleading name of Superstore, it really is just a club shop. No doubt it will be branded in due course to something fetching like the Bees Boutique.

Im guessing they will put one out when you can actually walk in and buy one

I would imagine that stocks of all items will be pretty high by the time we get to the first league game of the season, probably 3-4 weeks before the season starts and before the new kits has physically landed in the "Superstore" is not the best time to visit.

Noticed the team weren't wearing it in Portugal. Odds on another delay?

We are turning into Tottenham fans, I swear to God.

Ps. Have the #bignewambitions t-shirts arrived yet? :fishing:

I was in there earlier in the week. Admittedly the new kits weren't in yet. But apart from that appeared well stocked to me. Bought a few things and was served by very friendly efficient and knowledgeable staff.

Pre-ordered an adult xxl home shirt and training Polo shirt on Monday. :bound:

Just had an e-mail from Chris in the shop to say the Polo Shirt has been put aside and is available for collection at anytime and that they are awaiting delivery of the home shirts which is expected to be on 25th of July. Might explain the lack of new kit in the store and the fact that the first team squad were wearing last years whilst out in Portugal. :sorted:

No longer a discount for ST holders, so I was told today

6 Foot 2 and 17 stone the club shop sizes are to small for me, but as somebody said the shop can't cope for everyone. But being able to pay extra to get a larger size would be handy. Because like everybody else I would like to walk around proud with my Brentford shirt and training gear.

Superstore

I'd put one of each in the window with an 'Available 25th July' banner by it to get people interested personally.

Does anyone know what kit I'll get if I order on line? Is it the one modelled by the players with the badge in the middle of the white stripe or the one of the picture online with the badge half way between stripes?

Was there any BFC dog regalia on display?
Fed up with all the Chelski collars & leads round here, it needs addressing

It'll be the one modelled by the players, NOT the one advertised on the website, which has the badge half way between stripes.

No idea why the website is advertising a shirt that they're not selling :(

Visited on a Wednesday during the off season. Would hardly expect the club shop to be heavily stocked

Have the club confirmed this? Do we know for sure Adidas haven't completely cocked up the replica shirts?

Anyone who is going to buy one is already interested. How many people actually walk down that road, see the shop out of the corner of their eye and think...... Hmmmmmm, must come back and get one of those one day when they actually have some there.

So it has now reverted back to the more realistic name of club shop instead of superstore.

I don't really have a problem with MD's 'tweets' if that what he feels he needs to do and has the okay from the board. At least it's better than 'tweets' which give the impression that the writer is starring in their own movie.

As you raise the subject of Brentford FC news I do wish that a little more attention to detail could be given. A recent example is the Official Site statement on Friday that the 'Junior Bees' (which has been going for as long as I can remember...........and I expect Matthew Benham himself was one at some time.....:)......) has now been binned presumably 'cos it's so 'Old Brentford' and must be exterminated. In place of Junior Bees we have (drum roll) 'Introducing Junior Membership'.

Fair enough if that's what the board wants but for goodness sake...........Kevin O'Connor who is mentioned in the headline statement is named as Kevin O' Conner(sic) and it's been sitting there for two days now. Does nobody ever proof read this stuff or are articles just downloaded to the Official Site without being proof read and signed off??

Yes it's unimportant perhaps in the great scheme of things but it is bloody sloppy management.

:(

Actually it's not all. What it is is unprofessional.

Nothing irritates more than reading a book and finding spelling mistakes, the whole point of a book is to read it, the whole point of a writing a book is to write one so surely the most important thing of all is to proof read it over and over to make sure there are no silly 6 year old spelling mistakes.

On this website you expect mistakes as people type on mobiles with daft autocorrects etc and rarely proof read it, but to spell the club captains name on the official website is pretty unforgivable really.

We are not alone.

One of the first things that Cliff Crown told the BFC board when he became Chairman in July 2013 was that he was determined to stamp out the 'stupid spelling errors' (in the programme and on the official website) because it drove him mad.

Mind you proofreading is damn hard. I read through my manuscript time after time after time and found lots and lots of stuff and yet every time I look at it now I see new things that I missed.

Can I add that free professional assistance was offered by a fan when he found the 4th spelling mistake in one match programme. He received a curt dismissive reply informing that it was in hand and his offer wasn't needed!!!!

I have said it on numerous occasions and one of the things that still annoys me is our poor Marcomms .
For an ambitious, forward thinking Championship club the way we communicate internally and externally is in my opinion conference standard at best.
"If you can see John Smith through John Smiths eyes you can sell John Smith what John Smith buys"
To understand WHY fans follow BRENTFORD, HOW they like to be communicated to and about WHAT, the people responsible at the club need to ask them.

"Clever" Marketing campaigns that were considered appropriate and worked at other football clubs I suspect are as much use as a chocolate tea pot at our unique club. The Marketing team should bear that in mind, I for one wish they'd engage with a cross section of fans as a focus group and barometer as reckon everyone would benefit.

I know a few fans who went to a Focus Group at the Novotel prior to a home game a few months ago. Don't know if there's been any more

Fair do's but the patronising, expensive and un necessary communications re season ticket renewals and lack of communication re kit has definitely resulted in loss of revenue.
The mail outs which I received after I'd renewed were a waste of money and can only assume 1000's of others also went out to people who'd already paid again and I and hundreds of others I suspect won't buy a blue kit that we will probably only see the team wear on about 12 occasions this season?
It's unprofessional and poor commercial decision making that doesn't match the progress being made on the footballing front.

Hi - I saw a response on Facebook from the Club to a chap who'd asked the question - the Club said the shirt being sold is the one worn by the players in the publicity photos.

hello, i'm looking for Complaints?

ah excellent. so here's a tale of woe. imagine little old me, looking for something Bees-related to buy. the trigger was actually a new local pub that i love, a great new sports bar. i asked if i can put BFC memorabilia on the walls - yes sir, bring some in and we'll sort it out. cracking :sorted:

on the website under Gifts & Souvenirs there is a Large Pennant. click on it and you're taken back to the home page. oh well, it must be unavailable. i'll take the Mini Pennant then.

it's probably understandable that there's a decent delivery charge to wherever the hell i live, but to be double the price of the product.......... ok, i'll find something else to buy while i'm here, spread the cost. i'm not paying the ridiculous amounts that have become standard for modern football kit, but there's a sale on, and there used to be a nice line of casual t-shirts too.

used to be. no longer, alas. there are not any t-shirts available at the moment.

sale items: i like those training tops and, even if i'm very dubious that the badge might be a crap glue-on thing (as mentioned on here), i can grab one and make use of it. but there's only one size available of the red, no size available of the black, and one size of last year's kit. yeah yeah, understandable "stock issue". but still.

finished my browsing. nothing worth buying. no pennant then (hopefully pick it up when i'm next home). no memorabilia at bar (will just scrawl "Bees up F*lham down" on the wall and deny it). oh well :(

Mr Tree, you are correct. The lines of non-nylon clothing are absolute crap.

I know I've mentioned it before but three plain cotton tees, one black, one white, one red with the Adidas logo on one side and the old castle badge on the other would sell like hot cakes IMHO.

Dave Lane and the Beesotted crew have produced something similar and they look bloody great.

Let's be honest the shop is pretty poor - was better stock wise when it was in the cramped portacabin. I believe one reason is not wanting to be left with excessive stock. And as for the iron on badges...

yes the blue and orange is just sh*t. i like those shirts Bob, but i daresay RRP would be 30 quid or more :D

I know this should go in classifieds, but i have got a shirt from the title winning season a few years back, signed by some of the lads after they came back from Darlington.
I would like it to be auctioned off for charity, anyone got any ideas?

Similar story from me Mr Tree........

Xmas is coming so I thought (to help out my lovely family with what to get me) I'd have a browse in the online shop for a new, cotton t-shirt to replace my, once black, now a sort of purple, 'The Bees '89' favourite t-shirt............
Absolutely nothing to convince me to put it on my xmas list..........the only thing close are Polo shirts..........but I want something without a collar.........looks like no dosh being spent by the badgers in the 'Superstore' again this year.........
