Eh? This is obviously my team for Derby or I wouldn’t have posted.

I don’t think this will be the team starting but hoping after Derby it will be the team for Preston. Is that alright, am I allowed to mention Preston or are there strict rules in place not to discuss future games?

All Rowett's teams sit deep. I agree it is inconceivable they will be as negative as they were are GP, but they will not be particularly expansive and set up as difficult to beat. We will have next to no chance of scoring if we set up with three DMs.

Who knows? We did pretty well away at Boro with Woods, Mokotjo and Yennaris in the middle and perhaps would have held on for the win had we not gone more expansive (they equalised shortly after we brought Sawyers and McEachran on). At home against Derby we played Woods, Yennaris and Sawyers but didn't score until after McEachran replaced Woods.

But Yennaris is not playing as a DHM, he's box-to-box, quite attacking and has scored 4 with 2 assists. That's more than the sum of the other three.

Derby haven’t won at home this season when they have conceded. First and foremost they will look to keep a clean sheet.

Time to shuffle the pack a bit for me, as Maupay seems short of confidence if he starts and Watkins has gone off the boil. Also time to give Canos a proper run: pre-season it looked like he would probably be the main creative force going forward. Injuries scuppered that, but I think it's time to get him up to full speed again. So:

The gamble is in the front 3. Will Derby come out and attack or will they sit deeeeeeeep and try and counter.

If the former then a front 3 of Canos, Watkins, Flo might be effective. If the latter then Watkins, Marcondes, Judge might have more guile in less space.

This has the look of the team DS would pick. Quite conservative. Dalsgaard reintroduced, Watkins rested, no panic about Maupay starting or to introduce Judge or Marcondes before they're ready. Balanced subs bench where most could come on in more than one role (I might put Clarke instead of Macleod on that basis).

Bloody hell this is difficult. Harsh to drop Nico, but I feel we may need Dalsgaard's height if he is fit to play, and Kamo has played well enough for me to keep his position. Ollie looks tired, and couldn't find space for Macleod or Egan. If Dalsgaard can't play, Egan to go on bench.
