The Play Off Push.

The Play Off Push.

Good thread :bound:

No pressure on us at this stage. We just need to believe and stay injury free. Come on !!

The Play Off Push.

It's still a big ask, but all credit to the boys for a fantastic run. A win at Hartlepool (dare we expect), then it would really get interesting. More so if MK and Carlisle drop points. I would expect Notts County to turn Yeovil over, but the others are playing teams who are on a good run.

The Play Off Push.

On current form we can do this but you have to say the NC run-in, apart from us, looks the most straight forward. Too many teams in the mid table for my liking. Will need them to slip up. But the boys must be full of confidence at just the right time.

6 pointer with them (Notts County) really is that.

The Play Off Push.

we must beat notts.co to get in play-offs

I disagree. We only need one more point than them to finish above them! It would be handy though.

The Play Off Push.

Law of averages says we win the play offs at some point so why not this year.

The Play Off Push.

Historically the team that comes third never go's up and the team sneaking in at 6th on a run does.About time we had some luck should we sneak in to them.

Mathematically correct but I agree, 4 points from our games vs Notts County and Stevenage are crucial

Your right, but lets just enjoy the last few games and hope people don't notice our run. I for one had given up on this season weeks ago, so i'm enjoying something to play for with 5 games to go. Roll on Monday....

If we beat them then what they do is irrelevant

Stevenage are not to be underestimated either. One game in hand on us and 3 points behind with a better goal difference at present. Bees V Stevenage is a real 6 pointer. Their game in hand V Carslilse would be an ideal draw. Will have everything crossed over the next few weeks COYR.

i was thinking we want stevenage to beat carlisle, assuming we beat stevenage...

Whatever happens, happens, the thing that makes me feel optimistic for the future is Uwe knows exactly what we need to become a Championship club, whether we have the resources to do it is another question, but I'm enjoying the ride

No, it has to be a home win - it brings Carlisle closer to being overtaken. That leaves it in our hands to beat Stevenage, or even just get a point off them if our goal difference goes on improving the way it has done recently. Me, I'm holding out for another five straight wins.

The Play Off Push.

its great to be enjoying the end of the season.....

The Play Off Push.

I think Carlisle could get another 11 points if they hold their nerve. They have four home games and only two away.
We would still have to win all our games - a big ask but who knows

Five straight wins would be fantastic, but a bloody big ask.

First point is that we need Douglas fit. Second is to throw away the fixture list. All we can do is control our own games and take them one at a time.

The Play Off Push.

Notts County worst AWAY form with 10 loses.

The Play Off Push.

:computer:Wasn't that our fifth victory on the trot today? When was the last time we won 5 on the bounce? Was it when we were in League Two and gunning for promotion?

The Play Off Push.

Always the pessimist but I would say:- MK Dons 77 Carlisle 74 Notts County 73 Brentford 72... that is saying that the game with Notts County ends in a draw.

Therefore with my predictions IF Brentford beat Notts County we would end up level on points with Carlisle, better goal difference and will WIN the play offs as being the underdogs and current form side...

The Play Off Push.

We're the only team of the four with more games away than at home, guess that's either a blessing or could be our undoing. Crucially though, we're at home against Notts and the men from the middle of the week.

The Play Off Push.

Personally I think it's impossible to try and predict results at this stage of the season. The pressure and anxiety/tension play a massive part now. Whilst I thought we played well overall today we were definitely a little nervy before we got the opener. If Bury had got the first goal it could have been a different story. Let's just worry about ourselves and see what it brings.

The Play Off Push.

its defo all on.....we win or draw at hartlepool, we MUST beat notts c and then its gonna be who has the bollards for the last 3 games....we should beat the non leaguers and then its sheff weds (the hardest one) and then win at already relegated chesterfield.....its defo ferkin all on :)

its saved the season from a total borefest and its got everyone going again......whatever will be will be ;)

good work bees fella's

The Play Off Push.

I like to think the team is acquiring an aura of invincibility similar to that displayed by Manchester United over the years. The details as to who scores and when or how may vary from match to match, but the team just know from the off that they are going to win, and more to the point so do the opponents. And thus it comes to pass.

The Play Off Push.

...............perhaps..............

The Play Off Push.

Carlisle - last 2 games at home??? bit sh*t is that. County have the easiest run in.

Will all come down to Chesterfield on goal difference - ;)

Ooops. My bad.

I put in Charlton's fixture instead of Carlisle's. Now corrected.

MK will scrape in, Carlisle will flop and it will come between us and "them" I really do ****ing hate them. According to their message board - They all reckon Curle would have done his homework watching us mid-week and today. Also the chairmans wife is piping up on their board again (not bees related). Hope we smash em

I'll drink to that. Also I would be very surprised if we didn't have a few people watching them at Orient on Friday.

I'm toying with heading to meadow lane on Monday (i live 5 mins away) but not sure i'll last the full 90 as i'll probably be chucked out!!! Will decide on the day.

The Play Off Push.

What a great end to a dull season. All credit to the team and UR for not drifting into mid table and giving up. Bodes well for the future. As for this year - I much prefer to be playing other sides in contention than 'easier' fixtures. We want it badly enough for it to work in our favour. COYR.

The Play Off Push.

Next 7 days will be crucial, how we get on against Hartlepool, while Carlise, Notts County and MK Dons appear to have easier games, then us vs Notts County while Carlisle take on Charlton.
If within 3 points at this point, think we will do it.
Fancy chances at Stevenage, Sheff Weds at home will be tough (be great if they either confirmed in or out of 2nd position), could be dummy run for play off.
Would prefer to play Sheff Weds than United.
If we need to win away to Chesterfield, no doubt we will do it.

If we dont make it, be a great platform to go into next season.

The Play Off Push.

It will be a big ask imo to beat Hartlepool, we may well drop points here. If we win then it could be on, but Monday is a the big one imo.

The Play Off Push.

After re looking at Mondays fixtures (Now Banana has put the correct ones up :( ) Monday is MASSIVE.

All of our competitors games look well winnable - IF we can dispose of Hartlepool we are well in with a shout...

The Play Off Push.

Beginning to look good but still think next season will be the one to saviour.....

When we will be promoted to the Premiership.

Just a shame the f***ers didn't start three weeks earlier....

We may lose some ground on Monday if we don't win, but that isn't the end of it.

If we get to the playoffs were going to do it, its our time!!!!
