Tickets Tottenham (A)

Tottenham (A)

I don't have an real issue with members with super amount of TAPS being ahead in the pecking order , but circa 2k (maybe lower ?) seems too low.

I'm guessing circa 2k is towards the high end for members. Sure, some STHs will have higher than that, but if you are going to set some away tickets aside for members, you have to allocate them based on the TAPs numbers for that group.

Even though its London
A Thursday night game will mean the second TAPS limit Should be a lot lower

6 tickets purchased, easy as pie.

Got mine and going to try and link to my mates when he hopefully gets his on Friday

Got two, traveling down on the day and stay overnight at my mates. Looking at getting the coach to avoid missing trains back to Surrey.

Kind of defeats the purpose of having TAP's if they lower it to the point where thousands of fans can apply for tickets. They should go down in increments of 1000 TAP's until all sold. So 2350 in the next tranche then 1350 in the next tranche. That would be the fair way to do it. Obviously with a set amount sold to members on lower TAP's as outlined above.

Weird one…. My eldest is a club member with 2000+ TAPs. Got a ticket at 3:30pm.

My mate Jon has been a season ticket holder for seven years with 3331 TAPs, has to wait…

Needs to be carefully managed. They need to set the next tranche high to look after loyal fans whilst also giving members on lower TAPs a chance to build TAP's so that they do not create an elitist club of fans who can go to away games. Will be interesting to see how they handle this one as demand will be high.

Yes, that's the top 200 member queue. It's to allow high TAPpers that are only members to go to away games. The STH threshold will probably drop below 2,000 in the end however. Perhaps.

There is a risk that the lowest TAP level needed for members is lower than that for STHers, which is not what was intended. The implementation has been a little suboptimal IMHO.

There's already an "elite" that can to away games. But the good thing is that there's 3,000 of them. Therefore not a very exclusive club and very easy to join.

But you are digressing again into the TAPs Hamster Wheel thread.

Not the intention. Will refrain from posting on the tread until I get a ticket. However it is noted that getting a ticket and TAP's go hand in hand these days.

I'm going to assume this one won't make it to all STHs? ?

Interesting to see what the second batch is. My view is it won't change too much from what we've seen this season with it being around 1800 TAPs.

Collected my 2 from the Box Office yesterday.
Me and my eldest have no work that day or the following day, yey!

Tottenham (A)

So the first tranche was 3,350+ TAPs
The 2nd from 2pm today is 1,500+
Surely they could have staggered with a level inbetween?

There's only 5 weeks to go, no time to get that complicated

According to the ticket sales timing tracker, the threshold has been between 1000 and 1500 for every away game so far. See here https://griffinpark.org/index.php?threads/ticket-sale-timing-tracker.135794/
This will be amongst the highest demand. I'd guess it could be more than 1500 but probably only a bit more.

Just managing people's expectations before people get sent in to a panic by the level announced being "far too low".

EDIT: 1500 it is. well, my instincts were correct.

1,500 new limit, think most thought it may be a bit higher. Be surprised if they don't all go today

No because the policy decided as fairest was, there are two windows and the second is non guaranteed.

The club have access to info they will not (currently) share with us over
  • How many tickets have been sold already
  • How many STHs are within each band
  • What is the typical uptake of STHs for away games at certain levels.
and they can use all of this to make a judgement over what is fair. All we can do is speculate.

Only once out of the previous seven away games have tickets failed to go beyond this stage and that was West Ham (sold out in 1 hour 40 minutes). On that basis I think an extra TAP window is not necessary in order to be fair. For what its worth I think this will be similar to West Ham.

See you all on the next away game ticket thread where we can ponder this again. and again...

Can you use the money in my ticketing account to purchase away tickets or only home ones?

I thought one went to 1800 but yeah 1000 - 1500 is where we're at and as I mentioned on the Newcastle thread 1500 is now the magic number. Middle TAP holders or upper mid sit in an area that might be seen as a bit of an awkward or an unfair place to sit, but for allowing as many ST holders an opportunity especially younger fans 1500 is the right number.

To be fair apart from Palace away tickets have went beyond the second window but I'd amazed if that happens today. That may prompt questions if someone one say on 3000 TAPs doesn't get one but overall I think it is a good call.

Think the tracker might be wrong, West Ham second window was 1800+, if memory serves…
