Tickets Tottenham (A)

Tottenham (A)

I thought one went to 1800 but yeah 1000 - 1500 is where we're at and as I mentioned on the Newcastle thread 1500 is now the magic number. Middle TAP holders or upper mid sit in an area that might be seen as a bit of an awkward or an unfair place to sit, but for allowing as many ST holders an opportunity especially younger fans 1500 is the right number.

To be fair apart from Palace away tickets have went beyond the second window but I'd amazed if that happens today. That may prompt questions if someone one say 3000 TAPs doesn't get one but overall I think it is a good call.
Yes indeed. My mum actually tripped over the magic 1500 a couple of weeks ago (and went to Stoke this week for another 50) and so can buy in this window, unlike some earlier ones. A decent reward for some current loyalty. She'll be thrilled to be bracketed with the younger fans too ;)

I'm sure she'll be delighted she can follow you and your Dad around more pubs.

I'm getting "you are not currently able to access this area" when I go to the page for buying the Spurs away tickets. I am over the 1500 taps. Will it switch to a functional page at 2 o'clock or is something wrong?

Tottenham (A)

It'll switch to a functional page at 2pm(ish), though you will need to refresh.

Tottenham (A)

Because they think its a 3 pm kick off ?!!!

Two tickets sorted!

Tottenham (A)

Tickets were available at 13:59. Have just sorted the last of my lot out.

BOOM.

Tottenham (A)

Secured. Please stop showing the option for free postage when it's clear I'm not eligible for it!

Gottit!
Couldn’t stop my hands from shaking. Got confused halfway through the process as had to scan my card.
Never seen that before!
Presumably the ticket will be posted but didn’t see any other option.

Yes think that was the only option. Just completed my order

Do I qualify as I am only a member with 1700 TAPS???

Or is this season ticket holders only?

Tottenham (A)

I've waited until now. It won't seem to let me select more than one to link with my F&F unless I'm making a mistake

Are your F&F STs with >1500 TAPs? If not, you can’t buy for them.

Tottenham (A)

Anyone know the allocation? Also, I’m sure the club was publishing this on the ticket info pages at the beginning of the season?

Thanks. Yes, he has over 1500. It works now. I'm not sure why it didn't first few times but all good!

Looking forward to this one.

It's STH only currently. I'll be very surprised if this gets to Members. The fact is now a Thursday evening game may help though

Tottenham (A)

Got mine. Now need to get my lad’s, hope it goes to all STHs.

Tottenham (A)

Blimey, that's crackers how quick they've sold out

I'm thankfully sorted and mentioned the reasons I think 1500 was used earlier but the swift sell out might lead to a review for other guaranteed sell outs? I'm sure there are fans well over 1500 TAPs who will have missed out on this one. In hindsight is the drop from first window to second too much for certain games?

Maybe. Though what we don’t know is how many tickets were available in this window. It’s possible that a large part of the allocation was taken up by those with >3350 and even dropping to 3000 might have still given a quick sell out but made too large a chunk of the fan base think these top attractiveness aways impossible to bother with and hit social media with more whinging about TAPs.

True and I do think it's best to open an opportunity for as many fans as possible however there is still a huge gap from 1500 TAPs to those over 3000 for example who aren't quite at 3350. I guess with supply and demand there would never be a perfect solution.

First experience of the website f*ckups today. All plain sailing up till now. Had to wait till today to buy (payday) so on at 8:30 this morning to buy our 3. Website froze, couldn’t pay and then closed at 9. Boy went back on at 2, all in basket then froze. Got back on, sold out!! FFS!!

I explained my view on this in post #92 but perhaps it was unnecessary for this to drop further than West Ham's 1800. 30 minutes is very quick in terms of ensuring everyone has a fair chance.

The rationale may have been due to it being a Thursday night and easy to access on TV (provided you sign up to Amazon Prime).

I think some people were up for a row over this ever since the Palace tickets went on sale, I do think the decisions made have been broadly correct..... maybe some people now have grounds to row about it!

A good day to be on holiday. Ticket bought!

Or a bad day to have gone up to Burnley early. Ticket missed.

My fault. I was eligible straight away but was waiting for my partners TAPs threshold to be reached.

Tottenham (A)

Got my 2 but would agree with the drop in taps being too large. Bring on the Spuds.
If the drop in TAPs isn't large enough in this window then it goes to 0 in the next. So I suspect the right thing is being done here within the constraints the club imposed on itself.

Can you let us know at what stage the website froze please?

For the record, you can always try again in the window that opened at 2pm today.

Agree and the club are learning as they go along I guess and might have been surprised how quick we sold out. Liverpool in January is likely to be the next guaranteed away sell out; it might lead to a slight change in the TAPs drop between windows.

I hope you got a ticket for your mum Jay Bee
