‘Case closed’ by a comment from someone that has probably never been near a construction site in their life. Ok.

Anyway, like I’ve said above, it’s beside the point. Bottom line is ‘race to purchase’ on a weekday at 2pm when demand significantly outstrips supply seems a poor way to distribute tickets and will regularly favour some more than it does others depending on their circumstances. If TAP holders are going to be lumped in together whether you have 1,500 or 3,349 that’s fine but there seems fairer ways of doing it. A 7.30pm on sale time would be a small start if some of the other suggestions made (first refusal, ballot etc) aren’t feasible or suitable.

How much was our total allocation? Seems like Spurs have shafted us considering they have north of 60,000 capacity

You’d probably want the window open at the same time as you can communicate with the ticket office in case of an issue. You are also asking some staff to be on hand at 7.30pm to ensure the website is okay to sell tickets. And with this system, that would definitely be needed.

This is a growing pain of becoming successful. We’re not a crap club for the first time in 80 years. If you want to remove this race, the only way is a ballot. Be my guest but that won’t give you a greater chance of a ticket.

We can’t move sale windows as someone is on a building site, it’s pure myopia.

It will if you’ve got barely no chance of getting online at 2pm on the average weekday.

The building site example was just one of many scenarios - no need to get hung up on it specifically.

I hear the point you’re making about the ticket office opening hours etc though.

The general point is that we’re never going to get a system to suit all. Friends and family account holders or someone to log in for you is the best hope.

I think it was 3000, they have their away end corner which we've got. Whilst I'm not sure what they do for cup games as regards PL we would have got the same section as the other 18 clubs. PL away tickets is minimum 5%.

....it is a tad annoying....being that they won't sell out home end for this game....but I guess they're not allowed to provide us with more....or it's a logistics issue....seems daft...hey ho.

Maybe but that is a nightmare with grouping people together. What if adult and child 1 get a ticket and child 2 doesn't, they have to stay home alone...

Surely you'd still want to sell tickets in groups so people can generally sit together. You'd have to do the "register your interest" thing on a much bigger scale, then probably still sell the tickets in a few windows, a lot of extra admin to make sure the club haven't misjudged demand.

I honestly think the club have got it about right so far this season - easy for me to say that with lots of taps though. This way is relatively straightforward and relatively fair to most people. Remember it wasn't that long ago that all season ticket holders were equal* for big games... separated by your capacity to queue in person at 11am on a weekday.


* bonus priority if in lifeline or if you went to Scunthorpe / Wrexham and got a special voucher.

Their gate was 53k ish the day we played at West Ham, so maybe sell outs aren't guaranteed there currently.

3,000. Same as we get at Old Trafford and West Ham etc. That’s all they have to give so not sure it’s fair to say they e shafted us.

The team seems half hearted and that is echoing in their performances.
It will show in the stands at some point and a Thursday night fixture against us will be a test for the most loyal.

Managed to buy my Villa ticket on my mobile while in a queue for Green Man in darkest Wales with just 3G and carrying a whole weekend’s camping gear and the can of lager a nice Liverpool fan had given me.

If any actual roofers have had trouble getting a ticket due to them going on sale during their working day, full sympathy. For hypothetical ones, less so.

Absolutely no surprise this game has sold out in quick time. Been there once before and it is a fab ground.

Those that want to go you could always purchase a One Hotspur membership (cost under £50) and then try to purchase tickets in the home end as there will be availability.

..... alternatively.....wait till they go on general sale.... seriously not giving THFC more than I have to......and if they don't put it up for general sale..... there'll be lots of empty seats.

Fair point but honestly don’t know whether bigger clubs put their home tickets on general sale.

Be weird if they had thousands of unsold tickets and it didn’t go on general sale. I’m certainly hoping on going “neutral” in the home end if it does but not buying membership as a one off.

Ticket for this one turned up frighteningly quick-time unlike the Newcastle set. Row 11 so thinking they're going to be virtually pitch-level which is bit of a PITA.

Ticket arrived today. Row1, really up close and personal. Not impressed but at least I’m in the door!
