Interesting report, I really like the use of the word "sidled" don't see that in too many match reports....quality!

My version

Slavia created a great chance after only 2 mins, their best striker Pitak had a one on one on his favourite right foot & plenty of time, an absolute must score situation but showed zero composure in blazing horribly over the bar. That was to be their best chance of the night.

Monaco scored a good goal against the run of play, Slavia were OK for the remainder of the 1st half, plenty of possesion, the odd half chance.

2nd half, Monaco really took the game by the scruff of the neck, got closer to Jarolim, Slavias play-maker & scored another clinical break-away goal.

The two Monaco strikers were excellent, particularly the 28, who was outstanding & great to watch. Also liked 15 in midfield, but to be honest the Monaco team as a whole were a level above Slavia.

Disappointing game in many ways, 1st half OK, 2nd half men against boys, Monaco kept Slavia at arms length. Would have liked Slavia to score first & very early as they should have, because it would have really opened the game up.

To be honest the group now looks as it should on paper. Hamburg & Monaco cruising with Slavia fighting with Stavanger & CSKA Sofia to qualify 3rd. If Slavia do so thanks to your mob beating CSKA, it will be a real achievement.

One last point, max 25 Monaco fans for an away fixture in beautiful Prague. Bunch of pussies after all!!

It's not been the same since the team were sold off during the Summer (and Evra to ManUre) and Didier Deschamps :love2: resigned in September. This loss will hit the finances so expect the remaining star players (Squillaci, Roma, Plasil) to move on

Personally I thought they were just as dull tonight as well. Consideing the state of the pitch I thought Roma showed far more class and played the better football. Incidentally the commentators, -?- plus Jim Beglin ought to be sensured for, in spite of a lot of recent debate regarding players diving clearly condoned Hasslebaink's dive for the penalty. For "His experience allowed him to 'buy' a penalty" read "He took a dive". For Christ's sake he looked like he was using a trampette to get over the keeper.
