Walkers updates

Thought it would be good if we post up where friends and relatives have got to- this should also help those wishing to join at the later meeting points.
I've just got back from seeing off WEB and all the rest of the merry band. All in good spirits and great to see Terry Butcher make the effort to come down. Hopefully all will go well and at least a few people will make it all the way back to GP. Anyway, post your updates here.

Walkers updates

WEB has done about 10 miles apparently but is scared of the dark :D

But his txting is still at top speed :)

Walkers updates

Anymore news about the walkers and how far they have got on their journey?

Walkers updates

WEB now at 17 miles- on the positive side, that's more than a quarter of the way there. Route goes past the end of my road, so if anyone's still going then I'll be out to cheer them on. My 18 month old should be doing the last mile from Kew Green (managed GP to Kew Bridge last week so hoping she'll make it). Be good to see a few people down at GP at 6pm to welcome them all back.

Walkers updates

WEB's doing well Becky. We all hope they can all keep it up.

as quoted from the fans go on walkers you are brilliant

Walkers updates

6am update. Around a dozen walkers left, with between 15 and 30 miles to go.WEB made 27 miles before his legs stopped working and is sleeping soundly.

Walkers updates

9am update from Feltham John in the support van. Front walker is at Esher, furthest back are at Dorking. Not sure how many left still going.

Walkers updates

Has anyone contacted the local news about the walk? Or did they and had the normal response from the media of not bothered?

Walkers updates

Had to give up after 27 miles, due to Blisters and cramp. Had walked for 8 hrs 15 minutes, before I fell into the road and was kindly given a lift home.
Natasha had to stop due to sickness at mid-night, but is re-joining to do the last 10 miles.
Was with a Leeds couple (Stephen Brent Jones I think his name is on here). I hope they are still there. His other half was half goat I think :D :D and wouldn't have had any problems getting up Box Hill.

Think I've lost 8 lbs in weight, but just put all on again with a full english breakfast.

Before starting the walk, one of the drivers said he would be amazed if anyone did the full walk. I hope someone stuff his words down his throat

Great stuff guys!:) :) :)

Walkers updates

Claire says they are on way to Hampton Court(mile or two) and still determined to finish even though in pain. Knee and ankle hurting and legs aching. Natasha doing bits of walking with them to give moral support. Claire also says thanks to everyone offering messages of support. Signing off soon and will be at GP to meet Claire later. My thanks for your support as well.

Walkers updates

Just passed another walker at Strawberry Hill- going strong and would be surprised if he doesn't finish. Also Chris Gammon, who's been driving all night, doing the last part.

Walkers updates

was told by a bloke in a bees shirt near g.p that 3 walkers have finished, more are on their way, and that there will be some kind of presentation at g.p at 6p.m.
is this correct about the presentation?

Walkers updates

The presentation may be at four.

I heard six before but somewhere today have read that its four

Echo that Luke, as we said earlier the sure endurance of the walkers who completed the course over 24 hours is astonshing.
Special mention to Claire as the youngest and the only girl to complete the course and to Gary and Chris for each seeing the three of you over the line.
I have seen grown men cry today as they heard TB's incredibly accurate words of praise for the walkers and the fans of Brentford in general.
One of the days when you can actually be very very proud to be a Bees fan.
My hat is duly taken off to you all.

Walkers updates

thank you for all your words of support. i made it and so did chris and gazza, i wouldnt have been able to do it without them. i have a very swollen and painful knee. the swelling has gone down slightly in the other. i also have a swollen ankle. but i will live.....tomorrow will be interesting.
