You reckon touts still have unused memberships purchased in July? Surely they of all the earliest members will have been there snapping up tickets for the 4 or 5 obvious big games so far, at least if you believe the consternation in many of these threads. I reckon if anything this game is less likely to end up with touts buying or receiving tickets if they can tempt some casual observers along who haven't used their membership.
And do we really think there's going to be a massive black market for this category B game anyway? On a cold January day with covid cases high, against a team only your grandparents would remember as a footballing giant.

A Saturday league game in January was a classic cheap ticket day even in the Championship when the opposition wasn't likely to draw a big crowd. I have often brought a group of friends to games in January (it often ties in with other social stuff) and have been able to get cheap tickets vs Rotherham, Bolton, Stoke I'm pretty sure.... This is not cheap game of course and I expect this game to sell out regardless....but I suspect it has been selected for this planned policy knowing this would otherwise have somewhat lower demand than other home games this season.

I think people will have a right to feel aggrieved if all 3000ish members tickets go in this tranche but I predict this will not happen and I think the club will think likewise.

It's hard to imagine many people paid £40 for membership in July, ignoring the home games v 5 of the big 6, and will now pay £35 or more for Bees v Wolves on a cold January day. When there's big covid around.
Still it'll take people's minds off Manurecovidgate for a day or so.

It will be really interesting to see how many tickets are sold first time of asking. I would find it really hard to believe there would be that many whom are Brentford fans and members before 27 July that have yet to see a home game.

There's bound to be a few long-time Bees in that category, I'm one of them, but we generally have non-football reasons for not attending.

This "offer" is clearly aimed more at getting NewBees into the ground, maybe those that are intimidated by the ticketing system and would appreciate having the time to navigate the site and pick their seat without any pressure. I don't suppose the take-up will be high, but from the club's point of view every new face is a potential long-term fan.

I just wish the club would ask people why they were willing to stump up £40 but haven't bought a ticket yet, and what it would take to get them to buy one.

Yes there were 200ish and 100ish seats left respectively in E215 and E214 which are two of the blocks where tickets tend to be available. No panic.

I’m not sure there’s going to be a huge secondary market for Wolves tbh. So we might see some empty seats for folks who’ll have shelled out £75 to never attend a Bees game. Or they won’t bother buying at all.

The ticket tracker says only Leicester didn't sell out on day 1 to all members, of all league home games.

Covid or not, maybe the club were on to something offering these to the fairweather stayathomes first. Or maybe the offer was just incredibly unpopular. Either way doesn't seem to have hurt.

A brilliant top, top day out.
